Works.. the pencil is loose and if your trying to hold a work piece it's not good. I had to wrap my pencil in some electrical tape to get a tight fit.

I love how simple it is. It’s better than a block of wood which also works but this is super convenient and accurate.Typically I end up using whatever I find on the job site to scribe with. This will help you get predictable results and it holds the number 2 pencil tightly in place.

Simple to use. I have to keep inward pressure on the pencil , to keep it against the material. Also, I find that some of the scribing heights are difficult to use as the surface of the tool is too narrow to stay flat. But at this price point its worth it.
