I'm giving this four stars because instead of the rounded side, it should be a wheel... I work with aluminum and this is great for scribing kick plate to go at the bottom of the pavers. If the rounded part was actually a wheel, it would be perfect. I also use a marker specifically for deep holes because the pencil doesn't show that well on the bronze aluminum. ... show more

    • One more tool I could of done without
I purchased to scribe a stone wall . This tools scribing point is not proportioned properly to the base to get into sharp irregular shapes . A stick with a hole drilled in it to accommodate a pencil would of worked far better. Should of know better.

    • Nice writing utensil for carpentry or flooring. The scribing guide isn’t that useful.
The actual writing utensil is nice. The plastic guide isn’t very helpful because you either can’t scribe close enough to what you want or you can’t get far enough away. I didn’t try the circular guide.
