This light is an excellent product. However, there are steps you need to know if you want to use this with Google Home speakers (and other speakers). Sylvania has a BLUETOOTH app that will sync with the light. It MUST be used to change the programming among Alexa, or Google Home, or other smart speakers. THEN the same app will need to update the device with the current firmware to work with that device. It's a 2 step process BEFORE you can pair it with a smart speaker system. ... show more

Our home is smart integrated and we need some replacement bulbs in our toddler’s room, so we decided to give these a try. At 800 lumens, they are brighter than I expected, the bright white setting turns it into a nice reading light while the warm white setting is better for storytime. Our 2 years old was mesmerized by the changing light colors and is always asking to play in her teepee tent under blue lights. The box came with just 2 bulbs and a 1-step instruction. The initial connection is very good with my iPhone and the Sylvania app is simple and intuitive (not to be confused with their Wifi app). The connection seems to hold up really well in the past couple of days. Time will tell if they will last just as long as our HUEs. As an added bonus, the bulb came pre-synched with our Alexa account, and all we have to do is screw into the socket to start using the new bulbs. ... show more

I just moved to a new apartment and wanted to try out some smart LED bulbs for my kitchen. After some research I decided to go with Sylvania Bluetooth A19 Full Color LED to pair with my Alexa Echo (2nd Gen) speaker for hands-free voice control. I made the mistake of checking "This is a gift" box so I had a little trouble pairing the bulbs to Alexa in the beginning. At any rate, I followed the instructions and got my bulbs to work flawlessly. 1) turn on/off five times to reset the bulbs (you will see the bulbs flashing different colors when they are reset). 2) download the Sylvania Bluetooth App to updated the firmware. 3) did a HARD RESET to my Echo device (This step is MOST IMPORTANT). For some reasons, my Echo device (maybe it's old) would not recognize the bulbs so I had to unplug and plug it back into the power outlet to clear its memory. Once this is done, I told Alexa to "discover devices" and it found both bulbs. Now I can tell Alexa to turn the lights on/off, change color, group the lights together and set routines to turn on/off as needed. Overall excellent product, the pairing issue I had was due to my Echo device not clearing its memory. ... show more

This was beyond easy to setup. When you install it in the light socket the first time it blinks a few times and the next thing you will notice is your phone will have an alert that a new light has been installed. That's it, so simple. I was using Alexa and that's all I had to do. I could see it in the Alexa app as "First Light" and it was easy to rename. The second light installed just as easy, it was automatically named "Second Light". Been using them for a few days and they are more reliable than my wifi lights and twice as fast when I turn them on. I will be buying more. ... show more

Don't bother to buy if you have Alexa. The app isn't even available for download on the Amazon app store. The app that I found, the Sylvania one, is garbage. Freezing and never able to pair or get the light to work! Go with another brand. Anyone who reviewed this saying it worked perfectly with Alexa is either flat out lying or they didn't buy the Bluetooth light. ... show more

I hve played with many types of Smart bulbs and this by far was the quickest and easiest setup. Right out of the box, the bulbs were found by Alexa after being powered up and were visible in the Alexa app. All I had to do was just screw them in and Alexa did the rest.
