Nice looking paring knife, very sharp, fits my hand well. I tried it first on a fresh tomato and it did an excellent job slicing without crushing the fruit. Haven’t used it enough to know how well it holds an edge is or how well it sharpens, but so far I really like it.

Nice small knife fits easily in my hand. It has a very sturdy handle made of solid wood. The blade was a little dull when It arrived but after I sharpened it did a nice job of cutting. A lightweight knife allows me to cut for a long time without tiring my hand.

I have been using this knife nearly every day since I got it. It cuts beautifully. When I first got it, I was cutting some bell peppers and thought there was something wrong with them because this knife just went through the peppers like butter. It only took a minute to realize that there was nothing wrong with the peppers, but all of my other knives were either dull or bad to begin with. It's been about a month that I have been using this knife, and it is still as sharp as it was the day I got it. It has become my favorite knife and the only knife I use on a regular basis.

Man this is a nice knife, especially if you like the Santoku style. The damascus pattern is really neat and was really prominent in our knife. It shipped VERY sharp and held its edge well after a few dinners worth of chopping and slicing. Do yourself a favor and get a nice sharpener and hone for this knife. It's worth the extra expense. It feels like it will last a lifetime with proper care and maintenance.

4.1 stars out of 5 (standard rounding rules apply) This blade came in nicely packaged, and protected from any damage that can potentially happen during shipping. The wood handle appears to be sturdy and feels good within your hand, and allows an ease in cutting. German metal is good when it comes to rust resistance and sharpness, which is why it was slightly disappointing that the knife was not as sharp as expected when it came in. Another issue I had was that it stated Damascus steel, however this is just an etching. Finding that it wasn't real, but fake was upsetting as I was going to give this as a gift to a relative. We ended up keeping it for our home instead. Overall, the knife itself is a good one, cuts nicely (once sharpened) and does the job very well. I do believe the price point is a little steep for what you are getting as it isn't real Damascus - but compared to other similar items it would be mid to high range in price.
