You can build it by yourself! If your handy and have the right tools you can get away and build most of it by yourself, you will probably need someone for about 10 minutes to finish it up. Instructions Are pretty straightforward if you could read instructions and follow directions. As you can see in your pictures one piece was chipped while building and I had problems with the end caps for the top of the bar. I actually prefer not to put the caps on it so I can see if there’s nuts or screws whatever comes loose I would be able to see it by the cap. During these Covid times as parks are being closed and playgrounds are no longer safe I believe there’s a great purchase if you have one or more kids it’s very sturdy and my five-year-old absolutely loved it and I would recommend purchasing. ... show more

We have a 5 year old and baby. They love to swing on this set. My husband built it in one morning all on his own. The stain is pretty and has held up so far this summer. Some complaints we have is the anchors that hold the posts into the ground are very sharp and stick out. It makes me nervous that someone could slice their foot on it. That aspect is poor design. I am quite impressed with this swingset! I am a 40 year old woman with rheumatoid arthritis and I managed to assemble and install it completely on my own in only 2-3 hours time. I am a fairly handy person so all of the parts and instructions were familiar to me but even so, it was much easier to assemble than many other items I’ve done over the years! Honestly the most difficult part was driving the anchors into the ground. The set does come with anchors which I did not realize when I bought it so no need to buy anything extra. It is very solid; I took a swing myself and it didn’t wobble like some of the lower budget swingsets tend to do. I’m definitely impressed with the quality given the price point. I know my girls (5 and 6) will enjoy their time on these swings! ... show more

We assembled this a month ago and I am thus far happy with the purchase. It looks good and is sturdy enough, and I love the nice swings and coated chains. We have 3 kids but limited level yard space so this small set was perfect for our needs. It took a couple hours to assemble. The only problem was the plastic caps that go over the tops of the bolts on the top of the frame werent quite deep enough, so we have left them off for now. I don't think it matters. It does require being anchored as it is relatively light and lifts off the ground -particularly when more than one person is swinging. I started by drilling pilot holes for the anchors but by the last two legs I just screwed the anchor screws right into the wood with no splitting. Cedar is fairly soft. I was looking to get away from plastic molded swing sets that can be an eyesore. The low-ish price tag on this one (compared to other swing sets) made me a bit nervous that it may be cheaply made, but it isn’t. It’s sturdy and adorable once set up. A very clean and streamlined look. When assembling, pay attention that you have the correct sides paired — we had to take ours apart and re-assemble midway through, but the fault there was partially the minimally detailed instructions and partially us overlooking that detail *in* the instructions. Our swings did start to squeak after a few rainy days and needed a bit of WD40. Overall, a great buy that fits nicely into its environment and gets tons of use. ... show more

    • High quality materials, but small size and some holes pre-drilled incorrectly.

Quality -- The swing set is composed of high quality solid cedar lumber and sturdy steel hardware. When assembled, the frame is quite sturdy and appears durable, especially at this price point. Size -- The size is perfect for my kids (ages 3 and 6) but maximum child age is probably about 8 years old. More than that and this set would be too small/too lightweight. Function -- The set comes with positions for 3 swings but we found that using all 3 swings results in the chains being very close together as the spacing between chain attachment points is quite narrow. By eliminating the middle swing and moving the chains to a wider position, that problem is easily solved, but at the loss of one swing of course. Appearance -- The use of cedar makes this set much more attractive than the typical set made from steel pipe. Assembly -- Set up is relatively easy however we ran into a problem where the holes drilled in the ends of the lumber supports were not placed correctly, which prevented the proper attachment of the steel brackets. To solve this problem, we ended up cutting a small piece off the end of each piece of lumber so that the brackets would fit in the holes provided (drilling new holes was not an option as the offset was not enough to avoid drilling in the same space as the original hole) and bought some extra washers at the hardware store to use as spacers to make up for the mis-alignment, resulting in a sturdy attachment; it just took significantly more time to complete the assembly than it should have.
