I have bought multiple of these as i have moved around the world where ice isn't necessarily a priority. My daughter i decide this was one of our best all time purchases. this one is very quiet (except when the ice drops - that is just the way it is) i let mine run all the time and next day ice is really good. the size shape and softness of the ice is really good - sometimes ice cube sizes can be awkward in a drink. I prefer the small size to the large.

What we have here is the same guts as probably every other branded or unbranded countertop bullet ice maker, I bought the last one I had from Walmart on clearance a few years ago. I do like that this model has added a handle to the shell (my last one "Frigidaire branded" broke after one summer, or rather malfunctioned.. The sensors that detected ice in the backet failed due to a faulty cheap relay, and had I or anyone in my small personal circle knew how to solder it could have been replaced anfd fixed, however in the case of that one I tossed it out when the override button sequence stopped working.. As my headline suggests I do not know if that previously common design flaw has been sorted out, so only time will tell if this one breaks in the same manner and how long that may be.. In the meantime I just finished filling my gallon freezer bag with ice. the reservoir is filled back up and now I can try my hand at making iced coffee tomorrow.

I'd like to give this zero stars if I could. Ran fine for about 6 weeks. Now it constantly says ice is full and won't make ice. Bad sensor? Faulty machine? Either way it was a total waste of money!!!
