This dehumidifier works great, it is easy to set up, not too heavy, and does an awesome job keeping humidity under control. You don’t have to empty the tank all the time because of the drain hose. It’s mostly quiet, but the auto shut-off and low fan can be a bit loud. You might not want it in your bedroom if you are not a sound sleeper. We live in Southwest Texas close to the gulf coast, where our average humidity hovers around 70%. It makes you feel sticky during the hot summer, and colder in the winter because of the moisture in the air. The day I first tested this dehumidifier, the humidity was at 76%. I placed it downstairs in a central area of our 2-Story open concept home (Over 2000 sq ft) in order to take advantage of its 2100 sq ft capacity. It's very easy to operate, and has 2 fan speeds, 3 operational modes, a 24 hour timer (Checked it, and it works), and the target humidity is adjustable. I like that it showed me the current humidity of the air in the home as well. I am very happy to report that this dehumidifier really works! It removed over a quart of water out of the air in less than 12 hours, and the 2 liter (67.6 oz) water tank was full in a little over a day (Auto-Shut Off worked). Also, it reached my desired humidity level of 50% and cut itself off. It has been operating now for the past 5 days, and I can really feel the difference in the air as I walk around the house. …..but it comes with a cheap piece of slip-fit corrugated tubing to bypass the drain tank. Dehumidifiers costing very little more have an actual hose fitting so you can use a garden hose to divert the water outside. I’m going to purchase the correct size of vinyl tubing so I can run this outside into a French drain. It is sized correctly to work in my 12x16 shop, but I have no idea how it would work in a larger room. ... show more

This small dehumidifier is pretty hefty for it's small size. I like that the power cord and water hose can fit in the water chamber when not in use. One thing I noticed, was that there were several dents to the radiator fins when I opened the box. The box was undamaged, so the damage must have come from the factory. I hope it does not ruin its long term performance. We use this in our bathroom when we are showering and despite how hot we like our showers, we can come out and the bathroom window isn't fogged up at all. This thing is great! ... show more

Our current dehumidifier stopped working and I need to get a new one because the basement gets very humid, especially during summer. The sweetcrispy dehumidifier works well so far. I like that it comes with wheels so I can adjust its location easily. It is relatively quiet, but it doesn’t matter since no one is in the basement most of the time. It is winter here and the air is pretty dry. There isn't a lot of water in the water tank right now. My husband prefers to empty the water tank manually, instead of using the drainage hose. We might use the hose when we go on vacation. The dehumidifier is Energy Star certified meaning we will save electricity in the long run. Easy set up. Caster wheels are nice so I can move it around. I don't have a drain so I'll be using the bucket to empty. Lots of controls and works on a timer. You can adjust the humidity level (for woodworking I want the room dry but not overly so.) Seems like a pretty solid unit for the price.
