I really don't understand why anyone has issues with this system. From reading the reviews, I was a little scared to spend this kind of money on a new system. The only reason I did, is that I had an older swann system that worked well, so I gave this one a shot. It is incredible. It is much more receptive to low light/color video than my older system. With all lights off, the black and white video is still crisp and clear. With a small amount of light present, it shows in full color. I wasn't expecting audio, so that was a nice inclusion to be able to hear what was being said (1-way audio only/you cannot talk back). As with other POE systems, the install was a breeze. Just run a supplied ethernet cable to where the camera is going, and you are done. All cables supplied are 60 foot long. If you have a longer run, you can get an ethernet couple and use another smaller cable, or just order a longer cable for very little from Amazon. Just remember to make sure that you are staying within 330 feet for operation. Also, in order to hear audio, you need to change some settings. By default, everything is set at 15 frames per second. If you change this to 20 or higher, you use more bandwidth, but get a better image and audio. I highly recommend this system. ... show more

We have a system in place but the camera angles didn’t help for total coverage. These were relatively inexpensive and easy to install with the single hole and power cords. Drilled a hole in the soffit, climbed in the attic and pulled it straight through without issues. Picture is great as well.

I have had it about 6 months now. The good. POE is far superior to wireless. Software seems good, and it has many options to help eliminate getting hammered by detections but I have not fully dived into it so we get a lot. The app is real good, I was in CA and I live in Ohio and was able to talk realtime with people at the door. (This is true only if you have good internet or cell service where you’re at). It catches everything way before the person gets to the door. I bought the Swann Wireless doorbell and most times it never catches anything. POE is far superior. All cameras have held up well and clear picture. The bad the cameras are the cheapest they offer. The housing is all plastic and does not offer two way talk and or sound. There is no alarm. I did however purchase two more that due have the metal body, alarm and sound. These are awesome. ... show more

We replaced a PoE Swann system from 2016, very impressed with the video quality of the cameras, the control unit, and mobile app compared to the older system. The motion detection is much more accurate than before, camera quality is better even in low light, and most of all the mobile app is quick, functional, and useful. The cameras are plastic and lightweight is the only zonk, my old ones were metal, hjad some weight, and still looked great after surviving 7 years of sun bake. Because of this, a little worried about their longevity. But overall, very happy with purchase, will certainly be pleased if we can get 7 years from this set. ... show more

I bought this product because of the supposed heat detection to reduce false triggers. After my purchase I found out that this feature was only available through a monthly subscription. I decided not to pay for a subscription but now my trees are triggering the camera 300+ times a day, so now I willing to pay for the subscription and come to find out, this system is not compatible with real time analytics, which means that true detect doesn’t work with these cameras. What a waste of money. Looking for replacements and it will not be Swann. To complete this review, the picture quality is pretty good up close, but if you need something at a distance then it gets fuzzy. Also the cameras will aggressively alert you every time the wind blows but all of a sudden there’s a car in front of your house that you didn’t get an alert for. ... show more
