I bought the Swann system after returning a Hiseeu system. The Swann was very easy to set up. Just run the system was very easy to set up. Had the system installed and running in about four hours, and that included running the cables to the cameras through the attic space. The quality is clear. The system includes a comprehensive installation sheet and while the more comprehensive users manual has to be downloaded, it is very detailed about every aspect of the system. The cameras can be set up for sensitivity and other options on an individual basis. Only thing is I wish that Swann had a better Android app. It did take a little figuring out to get the app set up, but now that it is set up and linked to the DVR, all I have to do is open the app on the cell phone and I can see all the cameras. I recommend Swann over any other camera system on Amazon

I like the fact that the camera system picks up every motion that passes. Very clear vision. Easy to use.. DISLIKES. I hated the fact the cameras can only be moved up and down. It cannot swivel to the left or right or even tilt. Wherever your installing a camera have to be pointing directly where you want to to point. I have to go through a lot just to install the cameras. The app could be better. Recordings can be played in regular or high quality. Wish it was just high quality.

Installed last week - now I can watch what’s happening on my property and pastures 24/7. I ordered the 4 cam unit now I’m 🦵 myself because I should have purchased the 8 cam unit. But everything is pretty much working fine except when I click on a motion notification I get an error so I just open app to see all.

I bought this to monitor a home that I have that is about 1000 miles from my regular home so making changes once I leave is out of the question. I heavily depend on a rock stable system that I can remotely access via my Android phone to make sure my remote property is doing ok. it's only been a week but so far so good. The bad news is that I just learned today that the firmware / software needs updating to become fully functional and I am too far away to do that now. What's really annoying is that I did attempt to update the device before I left and when I attempted to update the message about the update said only something about the update needing to update for iPhones (which I do not use) and nothing else leaving me completely in the dark that I needed to do the update so figuring it'd be better to leave it alone instead of risking the update that didn't do anything for me4 and might break the device I did not do the update. Now I learned from Tech Support that it does far more than that. I wish someone who handles these updates and writes the descriptions about them would get fired because their incompetence cause me considerable trouble and inconvenience. If you won't be near your DVR after setting it up and will have no way to update it...... UPDATE YOUR DVR BEFORE YOU LEAVE IT. Other than that I am very pleased with the night vision and clarity. However, this is prone to diminish over time and only time will tell. I'll do an update a year from now if they are still working. The phone app is rather limited compared to other DVR apps that had FAR more functionality. Some allow me to make full administrative changes via the remote Android app even going so far as to remotely update the firmware and reboot the system, changing camera resolution settings and a wide array of settings. So I find this Swann app and it's functionality extremely basic. Nonetheless, if it's stable over time and I can continue to see my remote property I will be satisfied. UPDATE July 20 2022 The system has been installed and running 24/7 now in my remote home for 3 solid months. Over that first 3 months I have had no problems from the system until today. Today, one of the 4 cameras began to glitch and go offline, then back online, then offline and the image looked terrible as if a microwave beam hit it or something, but nothing is around to do anything like that. After about 10 minutes of this it went back to normal. But I'm concerned it may come back. It gave me nearly 50 rapid fire alert notifications during that 10 minutes. Fortunately, I happened to be at the remote location so I can check it out. If I had been 1000 miles away I would have really been worried. OTHER THAN THAT.... The system has served me well and slightly better than expected. I've been getting notifications of any movement at the property (usually birds or bugs too close to the camera lens). The color and night vision is on par with a good $250 camera system. I'm happy with the clarity and would rate it a true 1080p. For the last 3 months I've been nearly 1000 miles from this camera setup and it didn't fail me. Being able to see my property was a GREAT comfort to me. I did install a surge protector and battery backup for it. I'm only concerned about the camera glitching that occurred today. Will update if it gets worse. I ordered a new power supply to go ahead and replace the one that came with the system since I know this is the heart of the system and they do fail over time. Hopefully that heads off any potential problems that I cannot resolve when I'm far away from the camera system. Update in 3 more months.

I was impressed with both the cameras and the software. The install ease will depend on your skill and the construction of your building. Everything I needed was included in the kit. It also included anchors in case I had stucco or bricks. I was most impressed by the software. They spent time laying out an intuitive interface. It has a timeline showing what camera had an event and when. I don’t plan on using the online tools, so I can’t attest to that. I do have one camera that is videoing from 25 feet. Motion detect doesn’t seem to work for that one. It does for the others though.

It works for only two months and when we try to get ahold of them, they give us trouble shooting steps 3-4 times and when it still doesn't work, they said oh well. They didn't offer any kind of refund or to replace the system. They do not help customers for nothing. They test your patience. They give you vague instructions over and over. All that junk probably costs them 2 dollars for the whole system and they mark up 200% and they don't even offer to replace it. And they make millions of dollars across the USA and around the world and that's how they get fat, through lies, scamming, and false advertisement. The whole brand name is burned. This is still 6 months of trying to fix it and I'm on my 5th system with these guys. If I knew this would happen that way, I would've put another couple hundred dollars more with someone else with a customer service that at least guarantees there product and make it right. This is a old saying, " if you put a frog on a gold chair, it will still jump in the mud." So, don't look at how cheap this system is, because it will still jump in the mud.
