  • Awesome personal bookshelf speakers
Color: White Size: 3“
Excellent speakers but my volume plastic knob cover did stop clicking down, 2 weeks into having the speakers. I just take it off to click the metal knob underneath and change the audio mode. Bluetooth is awesome. The aux is responsive but there is a small delay in audio like 100ms. Roughly 100 decibels up close and 80-90 from ten feet away. When in Bluetooth, connection distance is like around 20-30 meters I believe. Speakers sound very clear and are perfect for laptop use. Great value for money, competes with soundbars of similar price. Small and do not take up too much space. Switching between modes is easy. ... show more

  • Good sound without the need of a headset.
Color: White Size: 3“
I was just looking for a simple pair of speakers for my desk. I don't like wearing a headset when I'm gaming and wanted to be able to hear things going on in the house. These have worked out really well for that. For the price, I'm genuinely pleased with these speakers. The main goal was to get decent sound for my games without being stuck in a headset, and they deliver on that. They look good, sound clear enough for my needs, and the setup was pretty simple aside from one small thing. It was also a complete coincidence that the white color was a perfect match for my PC, which was a nice little bonus. Pros: Looks & Size: I didn't even plan it, but the white version of these speakers looks great next to my all-white PC tower. They have a nice, clean appearance and don't feel bulky on my desk. Good Everyday Sound: For gaming and just watching videos, the sound is solid. Voices are clear, and game effects come through just fine. I'm not an expert on audio, but for what I need, the quality is more than good enough. Comfort: The best part for me is just being able to play games without having headphones clamped on my head. It's way more comfortable, and I'm not isolated from the rest of the house. Cons: None thus far but will update as I use it more ... show more

  • Great value for the money
Color: Black Size: 3“
Overall this is a 4.5 star buy. I bought two sets in November of 2022. Both get daily use. The sound is quite good, lots of range and they can get pretty loud. Most of what I listen to doesn't need high fidelity, so I am not an audiophile by any definition of the term. These get used for video calls and streamed music, and that's it. I generally use the 3.5mm jack. A few things that I noticed: The 3.5mm jack on one pair simply stopped working. I use BlueTooth now, but it's an annoyance as I'd prefer to use the 3.5mm jack since I use multiple machines on a Thunderbolt Dock. The USB interface doesn't allow my mac to actually control the volume, or I'm not smart enough to figure it out. Overall, I'd buy them again, no questioned asked. ... show more

  • Great sound. Simple setup.
Color: Black Size: 3“
Excellent value, great sound, the build quality is exceptional and the setup was simple. I matched it with a subwoofer from a previous pc system and got a massive upgrade in sound quality.

  • Ease of use and reliability
Color: SW206 Black Size: 4”
The media could not be loaded. The shipping was on point, These are amazing the black grain finish matches my desk. The sound and bass quality is very good these speakers have a deep bass so it makes it perfect for listening to music, watching movies or gaming. The fact that it comes with a remote control is nice because I can skip a song if I dont like it or go back and the mode button is good for changing modes like from aux to bluetooth. The bluetooth function was very simple to set up. I would’ve liked it better if it had included the aaa batteries for the controller. BUY THESE AND STOP LOOKING AROUND YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. I will recommend these to anyone. ... show more

  • volume knob doesn't work, inadequate documentation, USB mode is extremely flaky
Color: White Size: 3“
These are total bargain-bin speakers, poorly engineered, with design defects and no useful documentation. The biggest engineering bug is that the volume knob doesn't work when you use it with USB. This problem is no documented anywhere on the Amazon page. It does seem to be discussed in the printed booklet that comes with the speakers, but the English is so bad that it's hard to tell what they intended to say: "Note: When using Bluetooth mode and USB cable connection mode, the speaker volume may share the same volume with the device, so the main volume knob is not set with the highest and lowest volume scales." If you can understand that sentence, then good for you. I'm guessing it came straight out of Google Translate. The speakers can be used in three modes, but the printed booklet that comes with the speakers doesn't mention how to set the the mode. For this information, you need to carefully look through the Amazon page, where they have this note: "Long press 2 seconds to change the mode, green is audio mode, red is USB connection mode, blue is Bluetooth mode. " I assume "audio mode" is intended to mean using it with a phono jack. "Long press" refers to pressing and holding the volume knob for a couple of second. This is really bad engineering. For usability, all they needed to do was make the thing detect when it's connected to USB. (Hey, it's not that hard for a USB device to detect that!) As it is, you get the thing out of the box and plug it in through the USB cable, and you have absolutely no idea why it isn't working. The micro-USB cable they supply does not mate nicely with the port on the back of the speaker. It's hard to tell whether you're pushing it in hard enough or not. Low-quality parts, cheap engineering. One speaker has all the connectors sticking out of the back. The power cable sticks out about 6 cm. This is awkward when you're trying to fit the speaker into a confined space, e.g., it wouldn't fit on my windowsill. So if you're buying these because they look compact, keep this in mind. The only good things I will say about these speakers are that they do have pretty decent bass response, and they were certainly cheap. [EDIT] I spent an afternoon doing some coding while playing sound through the speakers, and I experienced even more problems. The biggest hassle is that the USB input worked fine for a few hours and then abruptly stopped working in the middle of playing something. I tried power cycling the speakers, but that didn't help. I had to shut down my computer and reboot to get the speakers working again, but then the USB input stopped working again after a couple of minutes. As a last resort, I plugged the speakers in via the analog phono-plug cable (which luckily I'd saved). This fixed it, but it eliminated one of my main reasons for having bought this particular model of speakers, which was that I wanted something with USB input. A second thing I noticed is that the broken behavior of the volume knob is not even consistent. What I originally observed was that the knob seemed to have no effect when I was in USB mode, and I assumed that this was what was being documented in the tortured English of the documentation, as quoted above. But I later noticed that turning the knob while in USB could actually have three different effects: (1) sometimes it has no effect; (2) sometimes it works; (3) sometimes it deactivates the speakers and the only way to recover is by power cycling. So basically it looks like whoever made the USB interface was just totally incompetent and/or didn't do any testing. The USB interface is just completely unusable my experience. A final issue is that when I was in USB mode, I found that for some material (e.g., the PBS News Hour's streaming programs on their web site), the sound output was extremely low -- e.g., too low to be easily audible when there was background noise such as a fan. This seemingly can't be fixed in software, because even when I max out my operating system's volume control, I just can't get a level through the USB interface that is loud enough. Of course, if the volume knob worked while in USB mode, then you would have a way to convince the speakers to give some more gain -- but as described above, that's a disaster. ... show more
