This chair folds out flat to make a very comfortable bed. You can also flip up the small end to make either a headboard or pillow depending on how tall the person is or whether they find it comfortable. When you fold up, the chair there are Velcro flaps that hold it All together. Although I originally bought this for a child, it is perfectly comfortable for anyone and I am willing to sleep on it myself. The mattress is firm, but molds to your body. We are pleased with it. Good for a kids room or a dorm or small apartment for extra seating. Seems well made. The cover zips off so should be easy to wash. Just got it two days ago so not sure of durability but the quality looks good so we expect to hold up as expected.

I bought the "dark gray" version and I will say that I think the color in real life is way lighter than in the picture. That was a little disappointing but everything else about it is great! It comes vacuum packed and fully fluffs out with the 24-48 hours that they mention. I am a smaller guy, 5'6" and 130 pounds, and this supports me perfectly. comfortable to sit in. I also extended it out and took an afternoon nap in it and it was comfortable! I do prefer a stiffer mattress/sleeping surface which this provides. It is not a plush memory foam so don't expect a temperpedic experience. But it was just right for me. All in all, love the modern look, love being closer to the floor, love the multiple functionality, and love the support and comfort it provides! ... show more

This is a great addition. I actually bought 2 to make a king bed. But they are very hard. I added a memory foam topper and that works great. But without the topper they are very, very firm as a bed. As chairs they feel great. Although pretty low to the ground. I will probably build a base with short legs to raise them up a little. ... show more
