These Susan Bates hooks are my go to inline crochet hooks. I wished they had more colors. I love the in line hooks because they’re so easy to use and less prone to having the yarn slip off the hooks as with the rounded hooks. The padded handles are a plus as I enjoy the feeling of having a little bulk to the grip as I crochet fast. I’m sure there’s an ergonomic benefit from that as well. I am never disappointed by the quality of the hooks and for the number of hooks in the pack, I believe it is a good value. The pack comes with three of the most commonly used sizes of crochet hooks (at least for me) and the handles have a rubberized grip that keeps them from slipping out of your fingers. I would even recommend these styles of hooks for beginners as they catch the yarn moreso than the other styles of crochet hooks. ... show more

Ngl I wasn't a fan of bates hooks in the past but ever since I started using an 8mm bates hook for this cardigan made with bulky yarn, they grew on me. I still prefer my tulip etimo reds but bates hooks with the soft grip handle are great! Takes a bit to get used to (if you use pencil grip) since these are longer than average, but still good! ... show more
