    • Longer handles eliminate poking in the palm
These are my favorite crochet hooks due to the length of the handle. I don't have that constant poking in the palm of my hand like from a shorter hook. The tip of the hooks slip easily into the stitches. I have two packs of these hooks due to the multiple projects I tend to have doing on at once.

I prefer these hooks although I haven’t tried ergonomic ones. I like how these feel. I find that I don’t crochet as tight with these and my hands don’t fatigue as fast because of that.

I just started using this hook. I have Susan Bates regular crochet hooks and there is a difference. The finger indentation is 0.5 inch further back from the working hook on this ergonomic hook than on the regular hook and the difference is good. I prefer this hook. I don't know what the "soft ergonomic padding" is for because it doesn't padding anything. However, the balance of this ergonomic hook is better and I feel less hand, finger, wrist fatigue. ... show more

These Susan Bates hooks are my go to inline crochet hooks. I wished they had more colors. I love the in line hooks because they’re so easy to use and less prone to having the yarn slip off the hooks as with the rounded hooks. The padded handles are a plus as I enjoy the feeling of having a little bulk to the grip as I crochet fast. I’m sure there’s an ergonomic benefit from that as well. I am never disappointed by the quality of the hooks and for the number of hooks in the pack, I believe it is a good value. The pack comes with three of the most commonly used sizes of crochet hooks (at least for me) and the handles have a rubberized grip that keeps them from slipping out of your fingers. I would even recommend these styles of hooks for beginners as they catch the yarn moreso than the other styles of crochet hooks. ... show more

These hooks are amazing! They are velvety smooth and the handle is longer than other cushioned hooks I’ve used, which I love because I have larger hands and most other cushioned hooks are a bit too short for me to use comfortably for an extended period of time. The Susan Bates comfort hooks are great! I’ve been crocheting for 40+ years and have never found better hooks than these. I only use the in line hooks, I feel they hold the yarn better, and the comfort of the handle is great! The shaft from hook to grip is appropriately long and smooth. I have to be honest, I don’t get anything extra from these hooks than I did a cheaper full set of ergonomic ones other than the hook holds the yarn better when doing certain stitches. I think that it’s because I used the other ones for so long that they are just more comfortable for me. Perhaps if I made myself use these all the time they would start to give me that I can’t live without this hook feeling. ... show more
