    • Love having the best
I carry weapons and flashlights for work for the past 12 years and learned early on you get what you pay for. For my money there are only two brands you need to look at for abusive environments; Streamlight and Surefire. I am sure some of the other brands hold up but these two are proven over and over again. Now days I choose Surefire over Streamlight only because I have developed a weird love for their products and a pride of ownership from owning the best; not because I believe they are always worth the price premium over Streamlight. I have owned 3 X300 weapon lights and this is my favorite. The boost in lumens to 1k is nice but I really like the "B" mounting solution over the standard "A" model for anything other than a Glock. The A model fits like a glove on Glock models but could be awkward on other handgun models, especially a P226 or railed 1911. This fixes it. (It should be noted Streamlight has had this mounting solution for years). Now days if I were running strictly Glocks I would still prefer the A model for ease of mounting and removal but this is the better all around mount. Also something I think gets missed a lot of times... The Gen 5 Glocks quietly moved to a standard sized (1913) accessory rail slot. Using the "U" key slot still works just fine but if you want the tightest lockup use the "P" key slot in your x300. ... show more

Surefire products are just one of the best. This specific Surefire x300 UB it's fantastic! Anyone into Firearms shooting sports, or for self-defense concealed carry home protection surefires wmls are the way to go! They are built very durably. Of course they are very bright 1,000 lumens, also 66,000 candela. So you get very bright and a spread out light that will cover a vast area. ... show more

We’ve put these through the gauntlet of physical trauma through gun training, and they haven’t broken. Fantastic quality. You get what you pay for, and if you’re using it on something you’re using to protect your life or others’, don’t up want something you know will work when you most need it?

Its a great product but, the picture shows the x300u-b and I received the x300u-a and it was already opened and missing the rail keys. I don't blame the seller since if I needed that part I can just call surefire and they will send you the part for free, thats the great thing about surefire and the seller probably ships and receives thousands of orders a day, so quality control is a little harder, especially for something with such a small difference. Overall it's a solid product and a small mistake, so it worth it, even if you have to send it back and order it again. ... show more

The B format with the screw down tension is far superior to my older A format. This is a prefect for for all of my Glock polymer lowers and there is 100% NO rattle and fits snug and tight as expected. The 1,000 lumen is the reason I own multiple dedicated Surefires for all my handguns.

Yes it is pricey but when you buy the x300 you can pick from a huge market of holsters and it will hold up to the test of abuse.
