Really good product. It holds the laptop securely without any issues. Installation is not hard, but aligning the screws takes a little time. This can be mounted on any monitor arm. Highly recommend!

These are, theoretically, used for laptops; however, I do think you can it them for either tablets and portable monitors, too, if you wish. Or even the 2-in-1 laptops/tablets or whatever. It fits a variety of sizes and therefore makes it fairly versatile on what it can carry. it's easy to install - just follow the instructions. Fairly easy to adjust, but this is one of those things that are better pre-adjusted vs adjusting on the spot. It's metal (?) and doesn't feel flimsy - great for its sturdiness as I did bang it around a few times and may be dropped it once or twice. Though, I don't know how durable this is, since I haven't used it for long. After setting it up and setting the laptop on it, I feel it's very stable. Laptop hasn't moved at all and neither did the arm. I've swung it a few times - had to adjust positioning - and it stayed in place the entire time and not once did I fear for my laptop. ... show more

That said, the overall experience depends heavily on the quality of the monitor arm you attach it to. Because this is a tray-only solution, stability can be an issue, especially with heavier laptops closer to the 10 lb limit. The design feels somewhat basic, with no advanced locking or anti-tilt features, so typing directly on the laptop can cause noticeable movement. The tray itself seems like some type of steel and the clamps are rubber lined and spring loaded. Everything seems really solid and decent quality, rubber bumpers in all the right spots to prevent metal against aluminum contact and the clamps are spring type (you pull them outwards to make more room then release. I debated between this and another tray without the clamps and just as an observation you definitely want one with clamps because it gives you something to hold onto when you grab it with both hands to reposition the arm, as well as it also keeps it from sliding around if you push from one side. All in all I'm happy with my purchase and if this is what you're looking for you will be too, I'm not sure it gets any better for a vesa mount tray. ... show more
