I cannot say enough about this cute little pet. If I had one of these growing up, I would not be able to get away from it. I can see why this has been on my daughter's wish list for quite some time. There are 11 pre-set activities that, honestly, blew me away. Most amazing to me was that it actually stands on its head! When each setting is pushed, the little dog will say what it is about to do, basically telling the child what the button says. I don't want to give away everything it does as I want you to have the joy of seeing it for the first time. I will say this though. Aside from the initial commands being said, it will also play music under one setting, and make the expected dog sounds. Follow me is a fun feature and the wheels on the feet make the little pup travel well. The toy comes with everything that is needed. The instruction manual is not overwhelming at all and my daughter feels proud to consult it, though set-up is so easy one doesn't truly need to consult the manual ;) I was pleasantly surprised that the dog comes with a rechargeable battery that can be charged with a USB C cord, included, without having to take it out of the toy! If you do choose to take it out, there is a separate cord with a special adaptor that can be used to plug it in to the wall with a standard phone USB base plug. Hours of fun? Most defiantly yes! I can see why this was on my daughter's wish list and I am so thankful to see her enjoy it. Score for the parent.

First, the advertising doesn't hide the fact that this is a kid's toy. I was hoping it would also be fun to play with as an adult, but there is one feature that definitively makes it a kid's toy (probably 8 and under). Every time you hit an instruction on the remote, the dog repeats the instruction in the classic "kid's talk" used in most kid toys. Kids won't mind, but I didn't want it talking to me at all and I definitely didn't want it talking to me in that voice. I just wanted it to bark. For the most part, the dog does what it says it will do. The movement was very well programmed. The only feature that doesn't really work is "follow." I have programmed robots to do what it does. It spins around in a circle looking for the person it's supposed to follow and then attempts to do so. I couldn't tell if it would proceed forward based on movement or based on size, but it constantly got confused by furniture. The turning movement is also very jittery. It also won't go from a hand stand to sit because it needs to knock itself back on its feet before sit will work. The product itself is well made. It can probably withstand a few tumbles before it starts to break. The package comes with rechargeable batteries with USB attachments and a screwdriver to insert them, so you will not need any additional materials to get it working or to keep it working. An overall very good product. Four stars instead of five because the follow command doesn't work.

This robot dog is hands-down the best decision I've made since figuring out how to baby-proof the fridge. My 18-month-old daughter is obsessed. She thinks it’s a real dog—minus the shedding, slobber, and 3 a.m. barking at shadows. This thing dances better than me at weddings and does yoga better than my wife’s instructor. It follows her around like it owes her lunch money, barks on command, and even does push-ups. Meanwhile, I can barely get out of bed without creaking like an old staircase. The best part? It charges with a USB, so no panic over batteries dying during a toddler meltdown. It lasts long enough for her to laugh, chase it, cuddle it, and then pass out mid-giggle. If you want a “dog” that won’t chew your shoes, poop in your hallway, or eat your snacks—this is it. 10/10 would adopt again.

The media could not be loaded. This robotic puppy is an attention getter! He entertained my adult guests so well, now they all want one! Super easy to set up. Charge the batteries and turn him on. All his functions are clearly marked on the remote, so there’s no need to learn which button performs which action. Or you can easily program a series of actions for a continuous show. He will perform for up to 20 min on a single charge. His imitation function allows you to have him moo like a cow, or quack like a duck and so many more. Kids love that: have you ever seen a dog that neighs like a horse? You can with this toy! His voice is sweet, but if you prefer to not hear him, there is a volume control that some parents may appreciate! He’s well built- I don’t think he’ll easily break. Definitely a fun toy for children, and in my case, adults alike!
