This set of three lip products provide subtle color, which is something I prefer. The texture is smooth and satiny, they aren't super shiny nor matte, but a nice in-between. I especially like the darkest color, Rowan, because it blends nicely brings color without looking unnatural, but I tend to look best in cooler tones. These are listed as "safe for sensitive skin" but they are lightly scented... and contain limonene and linalool, which are scents I'm unfortunately sensitive to. So I have to take a star off for that. I wasn't able to test the longevity of the product due to that. If they did a scent-free version in the future, I would be interested, because the color and texture are both really nice.

I LOVE Thrive, so I was excited to try out a mini set of their lip tints, which I never tried before. This comes in a cute little makeup bag with a zipper. Inside each product is in its own product box. They’re made in the USA, vegan, and cruelty free. You get 3 of their Hydrating Lip Tints. They come in a nice tube that twists up and the tip is angled so it fits to the lips nicely. I agree with their claims for these lip tints. These glide on easily and feel hydrating when applied. They feel lightweight, not heavy or sticky. My lips feel soft and moisturized. I don’t know that it lasts 24 hours like it claims. I definitely need to reapply throughout the day. But, my lips don’t feel dry when these wear off. Usually I feel like I have to apply a balm or gloss as soon as what I previously applied wears off. But not with these. With these, my lips feel fine where I don’t need to apply anything right away. So, they could be providing enough continuous hydration to do that. They give the lips a very subtle shine. You get 3 shades of their Hydrating Lip Tints - Rowan (Deep Berry), Kaisa (Dusty Rose), and Melissa (Warm Sienna). They give a very subtle tint to the lips. The Rowan shade is a deep berry, but since it’s such a subtle tint, it isn’t too dark on my fair skin. The Kaisa shade is a dusty rose, so it’s kind of like my lips but better. The Melissa shade is a warm sienna shade. I’m not big on warm toned shades, but the tint is so subtle, I can still wear it and not feel like it looks off on my very cool toned skin. Overall, I think this set is great! It’s a great way to try the lip tints and a few different shades. They’re minis, but I feel like they’re going to last a while! I’ll definitely be picking up some more shades of this!

I really do like these lip tints and even the darker color which surprised me because I’m usually not a fan of dark lip colors on me. But because it’s a tiny, it didn’t look overwhelming. I included color swatches, one with flash and one without. The one I have on in the photo is Melissa. Kaisa is a pinky nude tone, Melissa is a caramel nude, and Rowan is a darker brownish berry tone (slightly reminds me of Clinique’s black honey). I really appreciate how wearable these shades are. The only thing is I’m unsure about the value. I feel like I can get something similar at the drugstore. The ingredients do feel nourishing though and it’s better for your lips than standard drugstore ones. It’s only worth it for the occasional splurge maybe around the holidays.

In general, I like Thrive products. These lip tints are no exception. They feel like a cross between a balm and a lip oil, and provide more pigment than I expect from either. They feel great as they wear down. The first negative comes with the wear down. They set on the drier outer areas of the lips like a stain, but stay transient on the inner areas. Meaning they transfer easily. Within a couple of hours of sipping from a water bottle it looks as though thick, bold lip liner is all I am wearing. So they need to be frequently refreshed. That's a bummer, but it happens when there is that much pigment. The second, and bigger issue is not about the quality, but about the choice. These three come in a 'reusable' makeup bag, which is really just a waste product since it is too big to fit in anything but a large purse or luggage, and it doesn't hold up to travel well. So discounting that item, their is no value in getting a kit of three rather than just buying the ones that you want individually for near the same cost. The three colors picked out are pretty, but they seem as though they were chosen for this kit with the idea of providing one color good for the three major ranges of skin tone (light, medium, dark) so everyone could find something. But that leaves two other colors that don't work well for each one. There is no value in buying the kit at that point. Make sure you like all three colors before getting.
