My husband and I are both Night Shift nurses and let me tell you. We went probably 6 months without black out curtains and finally I broke down and decided we had to get some. These basically block out 98% of the light. There’s a little sliver that occasionally slips through the bottom and sides of the curtains, but i would compare it to half moon moonlight slipping though the blinds at night. No trouble sleeping at all and we absolutely have to have a lamp or flashlight on to see in the room during the day. It’s basically night time in our room 100% of the time. Bought 6 pair at a remarkable price used them in the living room and dinette. Will update when I install the last pair to the dinette window. I love them, the color is a grayish cream but outstanding in blocking all light and drafts. I live in Indiana and these are perfect. These blackout curtains are elegant and attractive! I feel like they're very nice quality for this price point. I needed a light colored curtain that still had the blackout capability. These look beautiful in my master bedroom. Because the windows are on the smaller side, I think they look okay with just the single panel per window.
