Overall, I'm happy with this TV BUT I encourage anyone thinking of buying it to carefully read through all the reviews and the question/answer section. I learned a lot of info that way which I otherwise would not have known because the "directions" that come with this TV are woefully lacking. I bought it because I wanted something small for my kitchen counter that would not take up much room. I keep it plugged into the wall most of the time but I did test the battery life and got 2 hours of play time from it. BUT, again, after reading the reviews I made sure not to charge it longer than 4 hours. Buried in the reviews is a response from the manufacturer stating this. There is absolutely nothing in the directions that mentions anything about the battery, let alone how long to charge it. I have not tested the ability of the TV to pick up channels with just the provided antenna. I immediately connected mine to my wall cable (using the provided adapter) and it picked up all my basic cable stations with no difficulty. It has a very nice picture. The sound is adequate but does not get very loud. I'm considering attaching a small speaker to it, which my tech-savvy son assures me is possible. In general, this is a nice little TV, although I would choose to watch movies, etc. on my larger screen TV. READ THE REVIEWS AND QUESTIONS before you buy it and attempt to set it up.

Reason for Buying: Severe Weather Coverage Picture and Sound Quality: Excellent Ease of Setup: Very Easy Included Accessories: Average I originally bought this TV to use for severe weather coverage when the satellite goes out due to rain. Since I live in Tornado Alley in Oklahoma, this is a necessity. The TV works right out of the box. Included Accessories include a wall charger, car charger, remote, and an antenna. The antenna is kind of crappy, I only got two stations with it. After reading reviews here before I purchased, I knew I would need another. I had already ordered one that worked excellent with this TV. I have several stations now. You can get the antenna here (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051YCQ8E/ref=ya_st_dp_summary) This TV's setup us very easy, just turn it on, channel scan, and you are ready to go. The picture quality and Sound quality right of the box, is perfect for my needs. Others may want to adjust to have better picture, but I'm just fine with it. The battery on this thing hasn't gone out yet after two hours of coverage, so battery life is better than advertised for my set. I hope this helps some of you make your purchase decision!

A solid, functional portable LCD TV. Able to receive digital channels via the included antenna with little issue. Also confirmed that the included AV-IN cable works well. It has both an On/Off slider switch and an On/Off button. From what I can tell, the switch actually provides power, while the button is more of a sleep mode. My only two complaints are as follows: 1. The screen quality isn't amazing. it's viewing angle is kinda small and it has some color bleed/streaking, especially with red colors. I tried playing around with the settings, but couldn't get it perfect. Good brightness though. 2. I had to disassemble the front of the bezel because the company left a protective plastic film (complete with tab for pulling it off) on the LCD and it had bubbles. I couldn't initially remove it as it was trapped under the bezel. I'm assuming this was an oversight during the manufacturing process.

After having to return two faulty RCA equivalents, I tried this lower cost TV and have been amazed at the superior quality video and various other features related to its physical characteristics. The removable, adjustable stand, makes for convenient, easy, setup. I am not able to get broadcast TV so I cannot comment on that aspect of the unit. The unit has two A/V inputs and is used as a desktop monitor, with one connection to cable TV and the other to a TiVo box. It is small enough to sit nicely below a PC screen. While the audio is OK, feeding it to a small Pyle amp or plugging in headphones, really enhances it. The remote is well laid-out, comfortable to hold and best of all, uses two AAA batteries, unlike the RCA's button cell. Since this unit is primarily tuned to CNBC for financial info, clarity is essential. While characters on the RCA were readable, but fuzzy, the Supersonic is about as clear and distinguishable as it gets.

Pros Real good picture and sound is pretty decent. Sound is a bit tinny but there are adjustments available to help a little. Plenty of inputs for using this tv for different things and the stand is sturdy. Cons Reception could be better. Bought this for days I'm stuck at work when football games are on or bad weather. A buddy had a cheaper unknown brand portable tv and although they use the same style antenna his got better reception. I was able to correct that though. Bought a "August DTA240" antenna off here and that cured all issues. Rock solid reception now without having to adjust the long antenna everytime I change the channel. Sound could be better but still very adequate for what it is. Volume level is good too. Speakers are rear facing though so that doesn't help. Overall I would have no problem recommending this anyone. Just think about paying a couple extra bucks for a better antenna and that will make it a lot more enjoyable.
