  • VERY pleased With this Product - No matter what others say! VERY pleased With this Product - No matter what others say!
I was very concerned about this product with all the more negative reviews but after watching the one customers video review of how it works I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did! The first photo is the pile of branches I had to burn or haul away that now I have made into mulch for my garden beds! If you have concerns, look for the review that has the video. He did a very good job of explaining the operation and use of this product. That is why I did not do my own. I will say that for the money it has performed WAY BETTER than expected!!!! Yes, it is true the green leaves do not mulch up, most come through whole or only slightly mulched, do I care? No. I am more concerned about the branches and it chips up branches like a champ under 1.5" across it will take it right out of your hand and chip up a 4 foot branch in seconds. I have found that it will do 2" branches if you go slow and let it take a few extra seconds but as it is not made for that size I do not recommend doing lots of those. I have done oak, pine, green branches, dead branches, tall tropical large leaf plants, and all manner of green and dead bushes, plants and shrubs and they went through with no issues. I had to use the push tool a few times and after using all day I did have to remove the hopper once for being clogged due to the high volume of greens I was putting through. I was very pleasantly surprised how easy it was to remove and to put back on. less than 5 mins and I was back to work. If you want an inexpensive yard and garden chipper to use for small branches from spring pruning and clean up. This is the machine you for you. If you understand what it does and how to use it. It is an excellent little machine! ... show more

  • Waste of money
The hopper is so small that leaves fall back to the ground. The shredder works for sticks, but for leaves, it takes forever to get them through the shredder. The output chute became clogged and needed to be manually cleaned out after a relatively small pile of leaves. The second time I used it, the base fell apart from the body. ... show more

  • Not a Bad Wood Chipper For The Price Not a Bad Wood Chipper For The Price
So I wanted to give a good and honest review of this wood chipper after using it for what it was purchased for. The most important thing to remember when considering purchasing this wood chipper is the cost. If you are looking to grind up/mulch a fair amount of branches or leaves you are not going to beat the cost. I knew when purchasing this for just over $100 I probably wasn't getting a top-of-the-line chipper/mulcher, but I needed it for about 3 days' worth of mulching the branches of three, 8-foot Italian Cypress tress and a lot of bougainvillea branches from a bunch of bushes in my yard. I was able to finish in 3 days, which would have cost me much more for a rental from somewhere like Home Depot. - The packaging was not the greatest. As mentioned by other reviewers both of my wheels were packed so tight the hard plastic was deformed on both as shown in the pictures, but I was not planning on using the chipper like a baby stroller so I used them with no issues. - The directions are horrible, but you're primarily attaching the wheels and the hopper, not furniture from Ikea, so it was easy to just use the website picture to assemble. - It would jam occasionally, but what was jamming in mine was a lot of greenery from the Italian Cypress branches. I didn't even need directions to figure out how to open it up and unjam it, so no issues there. - It is loud (as mentioned by other reviews). A good playlist via my Airpods and a heads-up to my neighbor who works remotely in his garage was all that was needed to mitigate the loud sound. All-in-all, for the price paid I was very pleased with taking the chance on a wood chipper that was inexpensive. With a planned sharpening of the blades, I am certain I will get more use out of it in the future, and I consider this purchase as having already paid itself off, given what I would have paid for a rental. If your job is small, this chipper will do the job and if you do your research with buying vs renting you will see that this purchase is worth trying. Don't get frustrated at the packaging, the wheels and the assembly directions as they have minimal impact on the overall use. ... show more

  • Not sure what other people are going on about but this shredder is pretty great!
I don't know what's up with the other reviewers but this shredder is really good with a bit of modification. If you look at my video of the shredder it can definitely handle more than small sticks or twigs. I would say while it does work for leaves it's not the best for it since you can't really put much in there at a time and if you do it will clog up before it even gets to the shredder part of the machine. If you want a leaf shredder it's best to get a dedicated one or get the leaves all in the pile and run it over with a bagged lawn mower like I wound up doing. But as far as branches and sticks and whatnot it's pretty great, I had a rather large wild grapevine, a whole mess of blackberries and some rather thick branches and it just ate it like it was nothing. I didn't even waste time putting in the blackberry and the grapevines one by one I just bundled them all up and just stuffed them in there. This one is definitely a keeper. Update: January 2nd 2026. I had a thought to come back and let people know how it's going, it's still going great just as good as when I bought it. I've been using it every spring and fall to mulch up various plants growing around my yard and throughout the summer to chop up some pine bark nuggets into smaller pieces for my homemade well draining soil mix. ... show more

  • Some thoughts on this chipper, leaf mulcher Some thoughts on this chipper, leaf mulcher
I know the overall rating seems a bit off with my two 4's and a 5 on the features... but hang in there... my thoughts are mostly positive. I had to be fair regarding how it I received it and about my opinion of the instructions (I still have two screws that don't seem to go anywhere). Mine arrived well on time, but it was fairly jam packed in the box it arrived in and pulling the pieces apart was tougher than I would have imagined. The wheels were wedged between the unit and the metal frame stand. One of the wheels arrived broken as shown in picture one. Also I found the directions for assembly a bit lacking... I'm not a rocket scientist but I do have a decent grasp of how things assemble and even I questioned some of the options that weren't crystal clear. As for the screws... just know it came with four, I lost one as it fell into the machine but then seemed to disappear, and I still have two left that didn't seem to fit into the remaining locations for a screw to go... so there ends the reason why I gave this a three star review instead of a four. I have to admit that I've only used the item for 30 minutes so far (it just arrived yesterday). I have this pile of relatively small branches that I needed to break down (as seen in the third picture.) If you look at the picture you should notice two branches approx center with cut ends. Those are two of my largest branches. They went through with ease. I had read several reviews on many of these things and the one constant complaint I tend to see is that only straight branches with the smaller branches trimmed off can go through. I did not have that experience. All of my branches went through with multiple smaller branches at the ends and along the full length. With only 30 minutes on this thing take that review with the suspicion it deserves that it might all go wrong from here on out... but as of this moment I'm excited to get out there and knock out the rest of the pile on the next sunny day. If its possible to update or add a second review I will when the pile is gone. one last thing.. it is a bit loud... so try to respect your neighbors and don't use until after 9:00 am on weekends. ... show more

  • It works. Sort of.
This thing jammed up on me almost immediately. It jammed up on a branch less than an inch thick. I had to take it apart to get it unstuck and then I ended up getting it jammed up about a dozen more times. When it works, it works well. Nothing special but it works ... that is until the reset button cap popped off and I had to take the entire machine apart to fix the thing. Serves me right for trying to save a buck or two. My advice? Steer clear of this thing until they fix the design. I'll struggle with it for now. I think the part that really gets to me is that it does nothing to small twigs. They pass right through so I still end up with some junk. ... show more

  • Maybe I just got a good one
I see the reviews for this electric wood chipper have taken a nose dive since I bought it about a month ago. I have been tackling a VERY neglected property and was wanting to limit the volume of waste from invasive trees and bushes including mangroves and chinese elms. I have to say, if you are doing the scale I am doing (filling an entire driveway with lawn debris, probably 2 dump trucks), you won't chew through everything you need to quickly, but this thing costs $140. It really is a beast for the stuff that fits in it, I have not been gentle. The trick to this thing is to make sure everything that goes in is relatively straight, meaning just tear off twisty bits with your strength if you have it, or use a chainsaw like me. So this thing is a wood chipper and is expected to be noisy. I wouldn't use it without hearing protection because it does sound like a car-wash vacuum cleaner. I initially bought it for my property where the branches have gotten really out of control, so I am excited to go reduce all the pruning debris I've created over there, but for the big stuff, I just put it into a firewood kindling pile. Overall, I am satisfied with this product, and if it lasts for 3 months and breaks... it will still be worth it for the amount of cleaning it helped me do. If you open it up, you'll see that its design is pretty good, basically a lawn-mower turned on its side. If this thing lasts a year with my heavy abuse (ramming branches that barely fit into it), I will be overjoyed. I hope someone else has the positive experience I have had with it. It isn't big enough to tackle all of your debris unless you have all the time in the world, but if your yard-waste pickup takes as long as mine, it will help you manage the overflow. ... show more

  • Plastic junk.. Plastic junk..
After using this chipper for about five hours. Chipping small branches from my tree that averaged about a half an inch thick or less the housing that holds the motor in place broke. Allowing the motor to shift and jam. I’ve been in contact with the seller. The phone number says they are closed for Covid. And refers you to a help email. The help email gets you in touch with them and they send you a link to a supposed self help site. It doesn’t work any better than the chipper did.. in fact it won’t even let me register, to get into the site. Right now if I could give less than one star I would do so. I might update this later. But very unhappy with my purchase at this time.. ... show more
