  • Finally, something I ordered from Amazon, that does not disappoint!
Size: 7500 lb Style: 6 Wheel
In a world full of crappy customer service and seemingly endless disappointment with things purchased on-line, this item was a breath of fresh air and a bit if sunshine. For the first time in quite a while, an item I ordered, came well packaged, in perfect condition, was easy to assemble and operated as advertised. No caveats, no gotchas, no missing or broken parts. Just producing and shipping a product as if they actually care. First, thing thing arrived on a small pallet surrounded by heavy cardboard with plywood reinforcements. Inside, foam inserts and other component / parts boxes were well placed and packed so as to add additional protection and efficacy of space. The instructions for assembly were pretty clear and it took maybe 15 or 20 min to get it fully set up. I saw no dings, no scratches, no missing pieces. Everything was as it should be. Once I got it charged and brought it out to my tandem axle motorcycle / cargo v-nose trailer, I was able to maneuver the trailer around the driveway easily. As you may know, trying to get a tandem axle trailer to pivot with four points of contact, requires a bit of effort. This powered trailer dolly, handles it with ease allowing for concise maneuverability into tight places. My gate is narrow for the trailer fenders and barely gets the trailer though with only a couple inches to spare. I'm a pretty good backer, but that finite level of precision is a bit tough behind a long bed crew cab. This dolly allows that precision. Now, I haven't tried it on grass or gravel yet. One item of note, is that it seems to work better with some weight on it. It's rated for 7500lbs and my trailer empty, is under 2000. When I emptied it, the dolly wheels did slip a little with the four trailer wheels balancing and taking some weight off the tongue. Lowering the ball height on the dolly helped resolve that issue. Anyway, I'm just pleased that something I ordered, actually arrived, packaged well, complete, damage free with all it's parts AND works as advertised. Kudos SuperHandy. ... show more

  • Great trailer dolly for doing what it was designed for
Size: 7500 lb Style: 6 Wheel
This trailer dolly is exactly what I wanted. Is it just like moving a trailer with a truck? Of course not. There are things it won't do, but it will move a trailer on a flat surface with relative ease. I've had this dolly for about a month and a half now, and been able to move 4 or 5 of my trailers with it. Unfortunately, I have not had my largest/heaviest trailer, a 14' dump trailer, at my home since I got this dolly so haven't had a chance to try moving it. It does move the cargo trailer, the 2 horse trailer, the 3 horse trailer and the 4 horse trailer with ease. It also had no problem moving the trailer we use to put our truck camper in the garage with the camper on it. (This was the impetus for purchasing the dolly in the first place.) Our yard is relatively flat and has lots of concrete driveway. Unfortunately it is anything but a straight shot as we have to wind our way around a large "S" curve just getting trailers in the back yard, then even more curving to get in the detached garage/barn. Although it is difficult to turn trailers sharply with this dolly because the large wheels contact the tongue of the trailer when turned at a sharp angle, it will turn enough that with some back and forth the trailer can be wrangled into the desired spot. I have noticed that if the trailer goes off the concrete and onto the lawn or into the dirt this dolly has a hard time getting it back on the concrete. It does not like off-roading and I suspect that the heavier the trailer, the more difficulty it will have in this area. It also does not like going over bumps of much significance. In both cases the engaged wheels on the dolly will lose traction and spin. The trailer brake feature works very well and keeps the trailer from running away with the dolly when you wish it would stay still. The most difficult thing I've found with it is changing the ball every time I want to move a trailer with a different sized coupler. Not that it's hard, but when shifting multiple trailers at the same time I have to unscrew the ball and screw another on, then repeat when going back to the first trailer. (I know, big time first world problem.) If you want one of these I do suggest waiting for a sale. When I purchased it was fairly expense, the day it arrived I came back to Amazon to see that it was on sale for $800 less than I paid 3 weeks earlier. If not for the hassle of shipping it freight I would have sent it back and reordered. Overall, I'm glad I bought this trailer dolly and will use it often. ... show more

  • Good product for moving trailers.
Size: 7500 lb Style: 6 Wheel
Works great to tow my camper. It has enough power to move the 23 foot camper around. It does need the tongue weight from the trailer to help it maintain traction. I tried using it to tow my UTV up from the barn, but the wheels just spun on the grass. But that is not what this is designed to do so I can't fault it for that. The pace is slow so you don't have to worry about the camper running away from you. The built in trailer connection (included electric brake output) also help in maintaining control of the trailer being towed. A p[ossible improvement would be to have 2 speed settings. One for high torque for trailer towing and one for high speed just getting from point A to B quickly. But once again, that is not what it is designed for. ... show more

  • The biggest paper weight I own
Size: 7500 lb Style: 6 Wheel
After a handful of uses. I would have preferred to return. Too many issues i encountered to say it was a good purchase, let alone worth 2400 bucks. Turning radius is horrible. Tires hit trailer jack upon turning just a bit, limiting how far you can turn, while killing your monument when trying to move. On hard dirt and grass, tires constantly slip making it a huge work out in trying to use this dolly. It has the strength to pull and push but the design is limiting on being able to actually use it. Must be fit to use. No way to control both tires. One will start slipping and the other tires does nothing, making it harder to use. For context, My trailer loaded is half of what this dolly is rated to pull. I can't imagine fully loaded, how much harder it would be to use. Over all it works but you won't look forward to using it when needed, and that's a bummer. ... show more
