The iron used in the construction of this box spring is very well made. The instructions on how to assemble the box spring came with the package. The rails were marked with labels for ease of assembly. The print on the instructions could have been darker to make them more legible but if you look closely, you can see the letters of the parts at each step. In the photos, you can see the letters. The assembly of the center cross was the most difficult, which is why I took a picture of it. When complete the box looks good but move it by holding the outer perimeter. I used a battery powered drill and socket wrench to make the installation go faster. The cover fits over the top. The bottom is not covered. It took me about 2 hours to assemble.

This is a pretty good product. I like that it is very sturdy and makes my bed quiet at night when I get in. My only critique is that it took me over an hour to put together. The key is to save the middle bar for last. I would buy this again.

The item clearly shows height dimensions of two (2) inches, both in the outline drawing and the description. This is not correct. The bed frame measures 1.5 inches in height. Since I purchased it to raise a mattress on an existing bed in order for the mattress to clear the existing bed rail, this frame is not high enough to do the job. Now I must waste a huge amount of time fabricating and adding additional structural members in order to increase the height.

The frame was easy to build. I opted to use an Allen wrench and a socket set which made things much easier and faster. That being said the tool provided is fine but will take a little longer and it is a bit small for my hands. Took two of us 30 min to assemble. It’s very quiet, and light enough to move around easily when needed. The frame is not included which I would’ve seen had I looked at all the pictures.
