  • Super Lucky Tale Xbox Series X Format “Game”
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
Super Lucky Tale was on the Xbox Series X Ultimate Game Pass we bought when we got the Xbox Series X and Xbox Live. We loved the game sorta like Sonic and Crash Bandicoot on the Platforms. Yes this game is on all platforms at the moment and is family fun to play worth the purchase !

  • Excellent for casual gamers.
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
Great game. Easy to pickup and start playing. It's also easy to put down when you need to get back to work. Excellent for casual gamers. While more for younger ones, this game is fun for older gamers as well. Some puzzles are a little too easy but still fun to play. The game has a reminiscent feel like a mashup between Crash Bandicoot and Super Mario 64. The graphics look beautiful but are not really impressive. The character and level creativity is amazing. A good enough variety to keep you entertained for hours on end. The only bad things I can say is jumping and landing can be extremely frustrating. Keep an eye on Lucky's shadow (if possible) when trying to line up jumps and their landings. Also enemies tend to re-spawn right on top of you immediately. Keep moving to avoid another frustrating death. Also the hitbox (area to jump on to kill enemies) is frustrating at times as well. Sometimes I'll jump square on their head, not killing them but actually hurting myself. This led to many frustrating deaths. One last thing, you will die no matter how careful you are. The game throws new gameplay and enemies at you without explaining any rules or how to play. You just have to figure it out... and die. Although, some might say "figuring it out is part of the fun." If you are a seasoned gamer and prefer more of a challenge, rent or borrow this. If you are a casual gamer or younger gamer, this is a really fun game. I can't wait for a sequel or more from Lucky. Well worth the $20 I spent! EDIT: Just finished beating the game. Seemed a little short and there are no benefits or unlocked features after beating the game. While still worth $20, some may price it at a $10-15 value. Hopefully a more polished sequel with twice as many levels will be made. TIP: Collecting coins in the hub world is not pointless. Every 300 collected = an extra life. ... show more

  • Fun and entertaining throwback to the 3D platforming days
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
This game is a welcomed addition to today's mostly big shooters and open world games. Going back to the glory days of 3D platforming. The graphics are bold and colorful, the environments are well designed and easy to look at, and the game plays fairly well. There are a few issues that I think most reviews have pointed out: The lack of a free rotating camera and some floaty feel in the controls. Personally, the camera isn't that much of an issue, but can be annoying when you move towards the screen. There are some times when you feel you are moving blindly into an area. There have been a few frustrating times when it is tricky to get Lucky to land where you want. Edge detection is hit and miss at best. The game is of moderate difficulty. It's got some tricky areas that will provide a challenge if you are not skilled with your platforming. It's not hard, but it's not a cakewalk. You'll miss plenty of jumps if you are not paying attention. I haven't seen the game in 4K on the Xbox One X, but it looks great on my 60" 1080p TV with a standard Xbox One. I'm sure it is sharper and smoother, but the graphical difference won't hinder your game play. One of my favorite aspects of the game is the score. There are some catchy orchestral melodies. Overall, a very enjoyable game and worth the $20 to $25 price tag. ... show more

  • A simple, but fun, platformer.
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
This is a very simple platformer. It's got a nice simplistic visual style that looks rather good when played in 4K on an XBox One X. The game will be challenging for children and those new to platformers, but for those who've played platformers before this game will come off as being fairly easy. A few of the collectibles are a little difficult to find and I had some difficulty initially with the final boss. The story is a bit too basic in my eyes and the characters seem rather static and one-dimensional, especially the NPCs that just hang out in the hub areas. Still, if you liked old school platformers like Spyro, then you might find this worth the purchase. At the very least, it's some easy Gamerscore for you achievement hunters out there. I literally had all but one of the achievements after collecting everything and beating all the levels; the only achievement I lacked happened to be super easy to earn and I obtained it without any difficulties. ... show more

  • Adorable, Fun, & Relaxing
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
As somone who has played numerous games such MOBAs, action RPGs, first-person-shooters, platformers, etc., I can say without doubt that this game is entertaining. For a new gamer or younger player, this game and its mechanics may present a slight challenge but nothing that is too complex by any means. For a more casual or seasoned individual, this game is a breeze with clear and easy to obtain objectives. While the game mechanics and objectives are overall simple, the game is still entertaining, positively adorable, and incredibly relaxing. For those that have played Super Mario 3D World and enjoyed it, I imagine you would enjoy this game as well considering some of the similarities. I know I have. I would recommend this game to players who enjoy video games that are a little more simplistic, adorable, and fun. For those that strictly prefer a challenging game with a more in-depth story and world you can become engrossed in, this may not be the game for you. For those that can enjoy games ranging from fun and simple to in-depth and challenging, it is likely you would find entertainment with this game as well. ... show more
