We wanted something new in our dining room with more light than the previous one. This definitely has more light, actually too much so we had to decrease our wattage to compensate. Plain simple frame, nice heavy duty feel and 4 bright lights. Reason for the four rating is instructions are very vague and uninformative. I was able to figure it out but someone that is not accustomed to that sort of thing would have had problems I'm sure. This is the perfect style light to hang in the foyer of our home. We were looking for something smaller because our foyer is not large and a larger light would just overpower the area. I plan on putting this light above my dining room table. We are purchasing a smaller circular dining table and our current light fixture is a long 3 light fixture that is over our current long rectangle table. The current light will kick t look right with the smaller table. However I still wanted something big enough to have a decor impact. This light fixture is perfect. It is large enough but not gaudy. We have not hung yet but have put together and it was very easy. The install will be easy due to spouse being in the remodeling industry so cannot rate the ease/difficulty of installation as has the training. Would recommend! ... show more
