I have 5 kids, 21, 15, 13, 5, & 3. We're always buying costumes for dress up play, halloween, spirit days and whatever else the school hits us with. In all my years of parenting, and well over a hundred purchases of costumes, I've never bought anything this high of quality. It's like they raided their grandma's attic and put authentic pieces in this package. I've spent triple this on 100 day costumes for my older 3 kids and they mostly fell apart after the first wear. She did a try on the other day and we fell in love with the cuteness. She's been playing in it everyday and it wears just like the real things. 100th day is next week, so she hasn't even got to wear it to school yet but I'm so confident in the quality I know it will still be fine by then. The only thing I can not attest to is the make up it came with. I'm not sure if I'd put anything on her skin but if we do decide to use it on the 100th day I'll come back and update. Update: Still hasn't worn it to school but her 3 year old sister managed to get it caught on a door and broke the cord with "pearls" going everywhere. Easily but them all on a heavier elastic cord we had for bracelet making and problem solved. But if I could do it over I would just switch out the string for elastic at the beginning.

This Ebytop “old lady” costume comes with a number of nice pieces. The first item is the wig. It’s a very nice quality wig with no bald spots. From a distance it could even look like real hair. The hair is shiny and thick. It’s a good size too, large enough to fit a larger child’s head or even a smaller adult head. The second item is the cane. It’s a good costume piece, but it’s not good for anything else. It’s very lightweight hollow plastic and it bends if you actually put weight on it. Third is a set of two wig caps. The fourth item is a pair of glasses. They’re surprisingly nice. The hinges are tight enough that they can fit a small head or they can expand to fit a quite large head. Again, even an adult could wear these glasses. The fifth item is the pearl necklace. As with most of the pieces in this set, is much nicer than it needs to be for a costume. The pearls look genuine and have a good amount of weight to them. They’re not just hollow plastic. The sixth item is the glasses holder. This is made of lightweight plastic, and it could work for holding real glasses. It has clasps so it could also be converted into a regular necklace if desired. Seventh is the face paint. It’s great for adding “wrinkles” to lighter skin colors. It’s not dried out, and you can achieve richer color through layering the face paint. The eighth item is the brooch. The brooch looks like real jewelry. It has a number of rhinestones, and none are missing. They’re bright and shiny. The brooch has a safety clasp on the back to keep the wearer from getting stabbed by the pin. It’s fairly lightweight but very nice. The final item is the cape. It looks like a real piece of clothing. It’s very nicely knitted, and it has a working button. It’s large enough to fit even a larger child or a small adult.

I got this for my daughter to wear on her 100th day of school and I'll be honest, this is way better quality than I anticipated. I purchased my son an "old person costume" that was slightly higher in price but definitely lacked that quality that this set has making it a really good value. The shawl is something I would pay for separately just for my daughter to wear. Now, she did complain of the wig being itchy but I also didn't fix her hair or use the supplied wig cap. She does find wigs uncomfortable in general, so this doesn't surprise me. The way the set is designed, makes it a one size fits most type of costume. The shawl fits my daughter but could easily be worn by a kid that is smaller or larger. I think the necklace on the glasses is a nice touch too!

It all is very cute and good material. I do wish the beads around the neck was two seperate beads rather than one big one. I had to double it to make it two because it's so long but after I dropped her off at school ,I seen where one was getting shorter so I called the school to ask them to make sure it doesn't get too tight. I probably could of took a string or something and tied it to make sure it didn't do this but didn't think about it til after I dropped her off. Also the little flower decorative piece. I didn't use that because it's a needle and I was worried it would come off and poke her or she couldn't have that at school. Other than that,I am satisfied with everything.

I got this for my daughter's school year next year for when they do the hundred days and she looks adorable in it. She loved it and I love that it will still fit her next year because there is no size requirement. The shawl fits directly over her and the wig goes over her head. She does have a lot of hair. I did not try the bald cap yet so that will be something we still need to try but the wig fits on her head fine even though she has a lot of big curly hair. I love all the little details like the glasses that have the chain connected and the big pearls. It comes with a brooch pin. The whole thing is just wonderful. I also love the little cane but wish it was a little sturdier. I think it will break easy if she messes with it. Overall I think this is a great buy though.

this is the perfect set up and for $12, you really can't do any better. everything is made so that you can just slip it on right over your normal clothing. my daughter is 9 and wears a 10/12 and i would say it's slightly small but she is bigger than the average 9 y/o! if your child is elementary aged this will fit them well. we didn't use the brown brow makeup but that is a personal preference.
