Got this to replace an old unit that wouldn't produce a full cup any more. Like the fact you can use standard mugs or a full-size travel cup. I've tried both K-Cups and ground coffee and the results have bees stellar so far. You can select different volumes of coffee (by ounces) to control not only how much but how strong. The manual says after 100 cycles the unit will prompt you to descale. I purchased some descaling liquid as well and while no where near 100 yet feel routine cleaning/descaling will prolong the life of the unit. The various pieces for brewing K-Cups or ground coffee remove easily for cleaning. I have had NO leaks and the unit operates quietly. ... show more

Positive - Hot coffee; fast! Negative - would be nice to have a higher platform option for regular coffee mugs, it has a lower platform for taller tumblers only and sometimes the coffee spatters on to the counter. Not badly though.

The coffee maker has everything I was looking for for my bed bound husband a small foot print , timer , water reservoir, unfortunately it also has a mind of its own and will decide to brew a 16 ounce cup instead of the 10oz or we even tried a 6 oz cup to prevent overflowing evidently the coffee Gods feel he needs a 16 oz cup of coffee to start his day ... show more
