We needed to find something that would fit in an existing fireplace. This was the closest we could find. Had to make a few adjustments to the opening, but it looks like it belongs there now! Heat output was better than we thought (after reading some reviews), and the flames are real enough. Don't care for the colored flames, but we just chose the ones that looked 'real'. So far, so good. The hardest part is taking the screen off to get the cardboard piece out! We’ve used it practically nonstop since we got it, and I love it far more than I expected to. Update: we’ve had it for months and I love this damn thing. We use it basically every day, and the space heater function is great.

I love this product. It performs as promised. I enjoy the flexibility of the touch screen and the remote. The only time there is some noise is when the heater is on. However, the noise level is within reason and did not bother me. Overall, this product is well worth the money.

These are shipped with the ceramic log already inside the heater between the background and glass front. The ceramic logs were broken in two and had moved around and scratched the black background. I reordered and the second one was worse than the first. Heater looked great and worked when I plugged it in but I did not want to pay $225 for a scratched one. Sent both back. ... show more

    • How to return it.
You have to turn it off on the main shut off. When you turn it off by the switch on the screen the flame stays on but in a stationary position the jet will shut off for now at least. But the flame thing bothers us.
