The water makes gushing sounds as it flows from the top down the multiple levels and into the basin where it recirculates with help from the submersible electric pump. These sounds are great for drowning out sounds of the city, neighborhood or stressful street noises. 4 White LED light rings illuminate the bottom 3 levels adding extra interest to the feature as well as reflecting in the water and lighting up the piece at night. This fountain has very little splashing because of the splash guard sponges adhered to each of the waterfall edges. No plumbing is required.
