I got exactly what I wanted, no doubt, no regrets. Would purchase again even knowing the things that I do. Of note: - The size of it was larger than could be reasonably wrapped for Christmas. Bigger than the biggest Amazon Bag. I didn't have enough wrapping paper to go around. - Assembly was way too easy. I expected something difficult. - The whole thing is lighter than it looks. While large enough to be awkward to move alone, it is still reasonably possible for anyone (assuming nothing is in it). - The additional surface area that surrounds the pit (which it it's defining feature) is not even/flat when all put together. It slightly dips/bends downward where each of the 4 pieces come together. It's not enough to affect functionality, but it is visually noticeable. - The lid is more useful than you might think - it catches some of the ash that might go flying off in the air, some of which is still clearly orange/hot when it occasionally gets ejected upwards. Speaking of the lid, it doesn't fit perfectly... but it does fit. - It comes with a 1ft long tool that has a plastic handle. It is for picking up the lid by it's handle when it is over the fire so that you do not burn your hands picking it up. Also handy for poking at the wood. ... show more

We are a big fam of BBQโ€™s and always tend to turn on a fire place to warm up at night and this is a great piece to keep. I love that more fire can be added at the top and has enough room to warm a big group of people 7+

Got this as a surprise gift for someone. I put it together. If you don't have experience building things, you're going to get mad at it. Assemble it LOOSELY first, as you have to fidget with it to get everything to line up. If you bolt everything down tightly from the first step, things won't line up in the end. The fire pit arrived on time and is beautiful. This company sent it when promised and packaged well. The fire pit was easy to put together and although we haven't used it yet, I think will be just fine. My only issues are the following: The screen top is rather flimsy and has a hard time fitting on top without tipping and falling into the pit. If we had a fire in there, it would be hard to get it out. The "kit" comes with a forked tool to be used to lift the screen by its handle when it's hot. The tool is very short and if the screen were hot, one's hand would be burned as the lid tipped while being suspended in the area during the move off the pit. Otherwise, this is a beautiful and big pit and we can't wait to use it! ... show more

This is a great fire pit! It's nice looking and is nice and solid, and is BIG. We can stack around 6 split logs for a decent-sized fire with some empty space all around, so it feels controlled at all times. Bonus, a somewhat hysterical neighbor called the fire department the first time we used it, and when the firefighters came to our house they told us it looks good and safe :) This is a larger fire pit, so it's a good size for larger groups of people. We've used it with six adults and five kids toasting marshmallows, and there was room for everyone. ... show more

    • Excellent product but needs a little care.
My second unit. First one lasted me four years. would have lasted longer but did not take care to empty ashes before Winter. Sat all Winter long. Rusted out floor. Other than that, held up wonderful.
