The media could not be loaded. Installation was so easy. Takeout ofbix plug it up and you're all set. I only wish the remote had batteries. Bummer, but other than that it's great. I ordered it too small my fault but it will work.

Bought this fireplace to replace the one in our RV. Once we determined it would fit the existing cutout, this unit was an exact fit. Very easy to install (30 min). Heats great. Remote is easy to use and learn. This fireplace has 9 different color schemes for the flames. I didnโ€™t think that was stressed enough in the pictures provided in the Amazon item description. This fireplace is an exact replacement for the Dimplex BF8000ST model it replaced. The dimplex was available, but it was almost 3X the money we paid for this Sunnydaze unit. Very pleased. The media could not be loaded. Great fireplace. I love it, it looks real. No assembly needed. The only reason that I give 4 stars because it is loud when you turn the heater on. The heater is not that great. You may need another source of heating but this could be more effective on a warmer weather (I live in MN). ... show more

    • Defective thermostat
Size: 28 in
In general I like this fireplace, however the thermostat does not work. When the room temperature reaches the temp setting on the fireplace, the heater element will not shut off. You have to manually change the heater setting to 00 which turns the heater and fan off. When room temperature cools to below the set temp, it will not automatically begin to heat again. You have to manually change the heat setting to either LL or HH. Plus the remote buttons are labeled different than the unit control panel. UPDATE It turned out that this was a defective unit. The seller (Sunnydaze) promptly replaced this defective unit after they responded to my original review above. The replacement unit operates as advertised. The thermostat functions perfectly. Outstanding customer support! I would definitely recommend this product for anyone interested in an electric fireplace for supplemental room heat. ... show more

Really like the fireplace. Itโ€™s the perfect addition to our living room. So many options for brightness of flames, flame color, and temperature control. My only wish is that the flames went higher up on the screen, I feel like they only flicker on about 1/3-1/2 of the screen max
