We used this fireplace unit to replace a broken one in a TV console. We love the console and were happy to find a fireplace that would fit right into it. We had to get a little creative bracing it into the frame but it worked out perfectly. Additionally, this unit is an upgrade to our old one. This one has color choices and a timer. I wish I could have found the exact insert I had, however, this serves the purpose as I really like the mantle and did not want to replace the entire item which I originally purchased in Bobs. The remote is cheap and I only hope it lasts. The fire settings are strange especially the GREEN but it does have a few natural looking settings. I haven't used the heat yet so I can't really comment. My husband assembled it without his "Get Me this Wife" so I'll say it must have been pretty easy. ... show more
