I was reluctant to order this hammock since we always had the cotton rope style & liked that type. My 10-y-o chose this hammock to replace the last one we had for her bday, and I’m so glad she did! I’m a large woman (around 250) and it’s super easy to get comfy in & feels sturdy. Love the pillow! Really makes it comfy. Plenty of room on this bad boy for me & the hubs, or either one of us can lie pretty comfortably w/our 10 and 5 year old kids. Beware… THIS IS STILL A HAMMOCK. Lie down with caution & be certain to center your weight as you ease onto the hammock or you will flip right over in a heartbeat! But that is the way of the hammock. :) It only takes a wee bit of practice to keep any hammock from body-slamming you, so be careful please! My husband had clearly forgotten the speed at which the single pivot-point on either side can flip an adult, because he went straight over into a mach 5 full flip to face-plant on the grass below when he tried it the first time. 😂 One thing I was surprised by was the bamboo spreader bar. It comes in 2 parts for each bar that snap together inside of a metal sleeve, and that becomes 1 very long bar for each side; hence the extra wide size. There is a little metal ‘button’ that has to be pushed in & held down while one part is attached to the other. If you fail to find that little protuberance, the sleeve will not fully slide down into the correct position. This could leave your swing vulnerable to collapse - so you want to make sure you get those 2 parts attached securely & slid all the way down into the proper position prior to hanging. Pros: super comfy, attractive, good buy for the price, very large size, bamboo spreader bar, whole swing feels sturdy (so far), seems somewhat water resistant, and is fairly quick to dry after a pop up thunder shower. Cons: does not include hardware. Overall, I recommend. I think it’s well worth the money. 👍👍

It is a hit with everyone so far. Easy to assemble. You need non-stretch rope to attach to tree hooks or other means. Need to see if it stands up to normal use.

I've been buying hammocks for my backyard for many years. The most durable/long lasting I've found to be is the curved bamboo....they dont crack/wrought out like the wood framed hammocks from the weather. The other is the fabric. This particular hammock has soft fabric vs other outdoor fabrics that are available. With this hammock the wood will last but the fabric will probably grow mildew from the rains as it doesnt seem to have that durable feel to it. I give it 6 to 8 months....
