This was the first Silk PLA I've used, and I love it. I was bracing myself for failed prints and nozzle clogs and poor print quality, but I've had zero failed prints and nothing but great results so far. The spools are smaller than the Bambu Lab ones, but they fit in my AMS great and spin without any problems. I like that the spools take up less space than the other brands I use, so I can fit more of them in a storage box. I appreciate that the spools came in reusable plastic bags and included filament clips in the box and little cardboard squares to feed the filament through to prevent snags in the AMS. The gold and silver both came out with a great glossy metallic finish, and I look forward to trying the black and white that came in my bundle. I will definitely be buying more of this stuff. SUNLU has a PDF on their website with detailed recommended settings for all their filaments on specific printers. As of January 2025, it's under Support -> Materials -> Filament Material Downloads -> Technical Data Sheet (TDS). I found my printer (Bambu Lab P1S) in their PDF and used the following settings to make a custom filament profile in my slicer: Nozzle temperature range: 225-235C Flow Ratio: 0.98 Print temperature (nozzle): 230C Bed Temperature (Textured PEI Plate): 55C Max volumetric speed: 12 Retraction Length: 0.8mm Retraction Speed: 30mm/s I also used Bambu Lab's Wiki recommended settings for printing Silk PLA: Speed - Outer wall: 30mm/s Acceleration - Normal printing: 5000 Acceleration - Outer Wall: 3000 I disabled ironing, as I've heard that makes the gloss worse on Silk.

Considering how using the brass one in this bundle went, I'm a little scared to try the others. The loading temp is a bit higher than the recommended temp for these, which makes the extruder smoke. I had to figure out what the sweet spot was to get it to work, and every time, without fail, my test prints warp which was very disappointing. I was looking forward to making things with a shiny gold looking sheen, but I can't seem to get it working.

Works good if its 100% infill and if all layers was same size. Worked good on my hens on nest fridge magnets. But tried twice on the roosters and kept bowing up.
