The Sunlu S4 is a great filament dryer, allowing you to dry 4 1kg rolls at a time. I love how much this dryer improves my print quality and the ease of use from setup to drying. The value you receive from this item is great at the current price point. Filament can be pulled either through the sides or top of the unit, providing you multiple options depending on your 3d printing setup. My only con is that the roller mechanism inside the dryer is manual and sometimes the filament will unspool inside the unit. The provided clear tubing helps but doesn't ultimately prevent it from happening from time to time.

Nice to have, its compact and easy to use, instructions are very simple and easy to read. Inside is included with bearing so the filament can roll while you print, depending on your printer set-up it can be easy to use or not able to use it. Still the drying work great and it gives you the correct temperate you should dry your filament depending on the type of filament. It's price is the same as others so I would definitely buy this instead of others.

Great four 1k roll dryer. Well thought out design with PTFE tube holes in easy to feed locations. You do have to install the roller bars at the bottom. Scary as they click in making you think you're breaking them, but at least ours didn't have any troubles. Easy to load, easy to feed, easy to turn on. All around easy to use and great design. Love mine. It feed all four colors of my U1.

This dryer started failing within weeks. First it threw ER3 at 70°C (temperature regulation fault), then slowly got worse until it could barely maintain 50°C without shutting down. For a product advertised at 70°C capability, that’s unacceptable. Virtually every “fix” online involves drilling holes in the bottom plate or propping up the unit on standoffs, which not only makes it louder but confirms the airflow design is fundamentally flawed. And because the control logic is locked down, there’s no way to correct the clearly faulty firmware causing the safety trips. I now have a $150 machine that wakes me up multiple times a night with a piercing alarm; and it still can’t dry filament at the temperatures it advertises. Unfortunately I missed the return window, but this has been the worst-performing 3D printing accessory I’ve purchased in 10+ years. Do yourself a favor: avoid Sunlu entirely. I wish I could get my money back.

This thing is outstanding! I like that it has a touch-based screen to make it easy to adjust settings, along with a countdown timer that is easy to understand, rather than picking a time and being unsure how much time is left. The fact that you can feed directly from it is a plus, with ports for each spool available. I have an AMS system for my Bambu; otherwise, I would actually use it myself. Being able to drop in 4 spools at once without exceeding the available space is excellent.

The "er3" error should be more widely publicized. I attempted to dry PETG at 60c and the machine threw the error code right before reaching temp. The unit is brand new, there is nothing blocking the fans. From the manufacturer, the error seems to be an airflow issue with the fans, so Sunlu should probably redesign or fix the sensors. My fix was printing spacers to drop the bottom piece 10mm and reattach with longer screws. Since the mod, the dryer has been functioning without issue. 3 stars because the product should work from the start.
