I've really enjoyed using this filament. The filament prints beautifully with a smooth, shiny silk finish and excellent layer consistency. The dual-color effect looks great on finished prints and makes details stand out. I also had no issues with bed adhesion or clogging during printing. My only criticism is that the product photos are a little misleading. I expected the filament to lean more pink based on the pictures, but in person the colors are definitely more orange-toned than anticipated. The SUNLU Shiny Silk PLA 4-pack delivers excellent color quality and prints beautiful trophies, making it a reliable choice for awards and multi-color projects. These colors look absolutely great! I bought this 4-pack specifically to print out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies. The gold, silver, and copper filaments are perfect for the podium spots, and the trophies turned out looking amazing. I did not need the weathered bronze for this specific project, but it looks like a nice color and I will definitely find a use for it eventually. The prints came out clean and shiny, and I cannot wait to hand them out on awards day. Another solid product from SUNLU!

I was very impressed with the print quality of this filament. It prints consistently, produces clean, detailed results, and has worked flawlessly in my Creality printers. I haven't experienced any clogging issues, and it's very reasonably priced for the quality you get. The silk PLA finish has an outstanding shine that really makes finished prints stand out, giving them a smooth, premium appearance. I would definitely purchase it again and recommend it to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality filament.

I’ve used a lot of PLA+ over the years, and SUNLU’s Silk Four‑Color PLA+ (1.75mm) is one of the more impressive specialty filaments I’ve tested. It delivers the eye‑catching shine you expect from silk PLA, but with better consistency and fewer print headaches than many other multi‑color blends. Print Quality: The finish is gorgeous — smooth, glossy, and reflective without looking overly artificial. The color transitions are clean and gradual, which makes decorative prints, vases, and display pieces look premium right off the bed. Layer lines are noticeably minimized thanks to the silk formulation. Performance & Reliability: SUNLU advertises ±0.02mm dimensional accuracy, and it shows. Filament diameter is consistent, extrusion is smooth, and I didn’t experience any clogging or under‑extrusion on a Prusa MK4 or an Ender‑3. Bed adhesion was solid at standard PLA temps, and warping was basically nonexistent. Color & Aesthetic: The four‑color blend is the real star. Depending on the model orientation, you get beautiful gradients or bold color shifts. It’s perfect for artistic prints, gifts, and anything meant to stand out on a shelf. What I Liked: Beautiful silk shine with rich, vibrant color transitions Very consistent extrusion and dimensional accuracy Great for decorative and display‑grade prints Minimal stringing compared to other silk filaments What Could Be Better: Not ideal for functional parts (typical of silk PLA) Color transitions vary depending on spool section — not a flaw, just something to plan for Bottom Line: If you want a filament that prints reliably and looks stunning right off the printer, SUNLU’s Silk PLA+ is a fantastic choice. Update to my previous post: If you have a Centauri Cabon with Canvas, do not use the spool holders on the side of the printer. Instead, set up a spool holder so it is directly facing/ feeding into your slot on the Canvas. Somehow the filament gets twisted when you have it on one of the spool holders on the side. Same spool of filament, but now it is printing perfectly. Hopefully, this will help someone else not waste spools trying to figure this out. So far I have used two of these 250g spools, and the filament appears to be twisted on both of them, so that the colors don't line up so they change color per angle like they are supposed to, but instead are patchy all over the place. I bought a 1 KG spool and printed the same item, and it was perfect. So I like the filament, but can not recommend these 250g spools. The colors do appear nice. For the next spool, I am going to respool onto an empty 1 KG size spool, just in case it is the printer can't pull correctly from these smaller spools, instead of the filament actually being twisted.

Aesthetic filaments can often be a gamble because the chemical additives used to generate the high-gloss shine can compromise structural layer bonding. This collection completely hit the mark, delivering pristine manufacturing quality and breathtaking metallic brilliance across all four specialized spools. Why this multi-format silk bundle is an absolute masterpiece: Spectacular Mirror-Like Sheen: The surface reflection on the solid Silver and Light Gold spools is phenomenal. The gold looks deeply rich and metallic, while the silver mimics a polished aluminum look, doing an incredible job of naturally diffusing light to mask layer lines completely. Makerspace Setup & Printing Calibration Tips: Bump Up the Heat for Maximum Shine: Silk PLA requires a bit more thermal energy to unlock its full gloss potential. If you print it too cold, it will turn out dull and matte. I found the sweet spot for a flawless, high-shine finish was running a 220°C nozzle temperature, which is roughly 10°C hotter than my standard PLA profile. Keep Cooling High for Crisp Overhangs: Because silk blends tend to retain heat slightly longer than standard raw PLA, ensure your part cooling fans are running at 100% to keep sharp geometries and overhanging structures crisp and warp-free. My Settings: Achieved flawless results running a 220°C nozzle temperature, a 55°C bed temperature on a smooth plate, and a conservative printing speed of 60–100 mm/s to ensure the best possible surface reflection. This 3-D printing filament has been really good for me. So far all the printing issues I have had with it were issues with my printer, and they were weren’t issues with the filament. The four color nature of it makes all the prints with it look really cool and shiny and each of the four colors is like a different direction so like when you look at the model from North, west, East, and south you’ll see a different color each time and the top and bottom are like a blend of all the colors which is really neat looking. Now that I fixed my printer issues it prints flawlessly, and I really like the reusable school because that allows me to not produce as much waste unlike the cardboard spools I used to get. plus it works a lot better and dryers and AMS type systems. There is unfortunately not very much information online about specs of this filament and like the heat resistance of it for using it with a dryer, but there is a little bit more information on the label that’s on the spool so I took a picture of that and put it here. if you need to know, the spool says that it’s here resistance is less than 70°C, but because it’s PLA, you should probably dry it at 50°C for safety. The one thing that keeps a ring five stars for me is that the color isn’t that consistent and especially on the side where you see the black color it’s kind of spotty and it’s not as shiny as what you would expect from these kind of prints. The bottom and top do look kind of cool cause they have the mix of colors, but they also look kinda ugly. It depends on how you look at it honestly. This is really just my initial view and I might update this after I’ve used this filament for a bit longer to confirm it’s reliability which is the whole reason why I got this one.

Nice bright blue, very shiny. The spool is 1kg of filament. The blue is uniform throughout the spool and it feeds smoothly into the printer without breaking or jamming. No problems with tangling so far. The layers adhere to each other well without pulling apart. Very happy with this filament and it gives some gorgeous shiny blue prints.
