I don’t want to use water, due to the danger of very hot steam and smoke then there’s the issue of rust starting to develop and a pan of water soaked coals to empty. We loved everything about this fireplace. Quality is outstanding! Easy to assemble. Even has a cover. It was packed so it was not going to get damaged. Price was the best that I have seen in maybe 15 years, honestly. We enjoy it! You will not be disappointed!

The box was delivered to my front porch looking like it had been hit by a freight train. Fortunately, it was packed so well that there were only a few dents. Everyone has told me I should have asked for a replacement but I can not stand the hassle of going through a return - and not sure how I would return an item this large anyway. Bottom line, a note to the seller that they may want to address this to avoid future deliveries showing up in this condition. And a note to buyers that it may show up looking horrible on the outside, but may still be salvageable if the dents are on the back where you can't see them. The media could not be loaded. This outdoor fireplace is easy to put together, rather large, and fairly well built considering it's country of origin. It withstands a lot of heat as indicated by me burning its entire box inside of it with 5 ft of flames coming out of the chimney. All in all I would recommend it as I've been burning for 5 hours in it today after assembling it. Assembly took roughly 30 to 40 minutes if I had to guess, but I didn't time it and I was taking my time. ... show more
