I'm a 56-year-old guy who's still a kid at heart, and when I saw a YouTube video of this car racing around, forwards, backwards, then sideways, diagonally, etc., I thought, "I have to get me one of those!!" Anyway, I ordered it on Amazon, got it the next day, and put the whole thing together in about 90 minutes. And I have big, chubby fingers, so I had to manage the screws, washers, and nuts very carefully, since they are super small. There was so much involved in building it correctly that I thought I definitely must have screwed up something along the way. But miraculously, it worked perfectly the first time! I love how the mecanum wheels work, and it's super cool to see the car in action. But I also loved that I built the whole thing myself! I have yet to start digging into the programming (only used play mode so far), but I'm eager to learn how to program the Arduino to make the wheels do what I want them to do! If you're into Arduinos, remote control cars, model building, robots, programming, etc., I highly recommend. you check this out!

I am yet to start working on this Arduino-compatible smart car project since the kit comes with an exhaustive list of features and similar number of components to support them. As a slow-but-steady builder, this looks like it will take me a minimum of 2 hours. On the other hand, it's got everything it advertises, all packed neatly, and includes a link to their website that offers a serious amount of documentation (built with Docutils and open sourced on GitHub). Based on this gadget's capabilities and extensibility, I'm looking forward to a quiet, enjoyable weekend with my teenage son when we can put it all together and start playing... Highly recommended, and actually cheaper than buying all associated parts separately...

This is a great robotics kit. I built this with my son and we had a good time learning computer builds but on a smaller scale. The kit was well detailed and easy to follow. In total it took about an hour and a half to build, allowing time to enjoy the process and not rush. Once assembled it is a fun toy to play with, and the app works as I would expect. My son still comes back to play with it, which is a lot for a 12 year old that loses interest in anything besides video games. I think ti kit is a bit pricy, but for those interested in robotics it is well worth it.

I've reviewed several electronic kits like this, tried putting many together, and this one is so much better than others. First off, the instructions are very good. I've had other kits with terrible, lacking, instructions, so this it is very refreshing. Instructions go step by step with details for each step. Also, the instructions are very professionally done. Also like this kit because it comes with all you need. Most kits you have to supply the main board, but not this set, it's all in the box. Parts are pretty good, not super high quality, but more than good enough. Everything was boxed and packed well. All the parts come in plastic bags as well. Once put together, it's a fun little kit. I am still learning how to use it and how it works, features, ect, but so far I am loving it. I am older, but have been into electronics since I was a kid and this is my kind of fun. Will post more pictures and hopefully a video or two once I get the hang of it. Enjoying it thus far. Awesome kit, good price, would gladly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. My son and I had fun building this smart robot car kit together. The instructions made assembly simple enough and explain the physical build part of the item, though app setup directions weren’t part of the instructions. I checked the website and found their tutorial for this zeus car and I got the car driving around after finding out on a youtube tutorial how to connect to the car through the app. I was able to get it to follow lines and dodge objects thanks to the pre-uploaded code. The Arduino, camera, and app control features allow for cool customization although the app did give me some issue and after loading the app up 2 times, it finally worked on my Samsung phone and would actually let me press the checkmark on the top right. As an intro to robotics, it’s a neat STEM toy. But for the cost, I expected more components. Overall, a cool robotics project for kids despite the high price tag. I am rating it 5 stars since the car itself is built and designed very well and does exactly as advertised.

Electronic car robot kit Zeus, compatible with Arduino for robotics enthusiasts. My son studies robotics and he liked putting it together, but there were issues he didn't like. Pros: The assembly instructions are very detailed and well illustrated. There were no problems during assembly. It took my son about about hour and a half hours putting it together and setting it up. Cons: The link to get the app is only found in the homepage, which is printed on the instructions. On the homepage, everything is described in great detail. After downloading the app, I connected the smart car to my iPhone through WiFi. But when you connect the vehicle to the app, the app simply cannot find the smart car, even though the WiFi connection is stable. The app seems to have been developed in haste, without any thought given to professionalism. Another negative is that the remote control doesn't seem to work. Too expensive to recommend.
