  • Well made throttle by Honeycomb !!
Great addition to my sim cockpit for flying Cessna 172’s and to the Alpha yoke. Good quality construction, been using it about a month

  • Great Value For Cessna Simulation
I purchased this for use with their Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, and a generic logitec rudder pedal set, to specifically simulate a Cessna 172 to practice flying patterns and maneuvers for actual flight school. I think this product does the job fantastically. I will leave some critiques below for how I believe it can be improved. Critique 1: I think there was plenty of room to have a full flaps axis similar to how Cessnas are and keep it right where it already is on this module. I don't know why they cheaped out and went with the hold to increase / decrease switch when literally everything else is perfect. Critique 2: I am not a fan of the desk mounts on this product and on the Alpha. The plastic trey in between the two brackets and throttle quadrant seems like a pointless extra failure point. I would have suggested allowing the brackets to be mounted inside cutouts directly on the throttle quadrant so that there does not have to be a bent piece of hard plastic in between in order to keep it steady enough for realistic use. Overall, I love the value of the product and would suggest it to others who are also trying to simulate Cessna flight. ... show more

  • Trim Wheel Disappoints
Wanted to love this, but am disappointed. I agree with others that the TPM are too close together. Im hoping I'll get used to that. Bring able to bind the parking brake button as carb heat adds some realism. The trim wheel, however, is useless . A small trim adjustment requires spinning the wheel several full rotations. Add flaps on descent and expect to spin it aggressively for several seconds to get back in trim. Ultimately easier to just use the trim buttons in the yoke and forget about the wheel... ... show more

  • Big Hnads don't hinder my use of the product.
I too have big hands, but it does not for me hinder my liking the product and although the TPM knobs are close together for some they are fine as I am not using the Pitch and Mixture as often as I use the Throttle. I only wish Honeycomb would release the software so the TPM can interface without the need to change the bindings for every airplane that uses the unit. ... show more

  • Throttle, Prop and Mixture Controls are too close together!
Shipping was fast, item was securely packaged and well made. Throttle, propeller and mixture (TPM) were very nice, solid and smooth. Everything on this controller worked as intended. However, there was one glaring issue that caused me to return the item. The TPM controls are too close together. Normal flying is done with a constant overhand grip on the throttle control, but the propeller control is too close to allow the throttle to be gripped this way. My hands are large, but not excessively so. The only way I could grip the throttle control was to use an underhand grip, and even then I was barely using two fingertips and thumb. This was unnatural and awkward. My simulator flying is done mostly in VR, and not being able to grip the control in a natural/normal manner made me quickly dislike using this controller. ... show more

  • Throttle didn’t work
I receive my unit with the throttle lever not working. (The throttle sensor was manufactured incorrectly and was not connected) Unfortunately, I could no longer return it, so I had to open it and fix it myself. Be aware of possible manufacturing defects when buying it.

  • Good purchase. I recommend it.
a little tight between the tpm knobs but I got use to that very soon. Other than that I really like the unit.

  • LEDs not functioning.
It missed the mark with the gear leds, other than that it is pretty good
