Holes did not all match up, that required some effort

The set looks beautiful and is the right size for my porch, so I actually love it now. What I did hate was all the hassle involved in getting it set up. First, I only received one of two boxes. Nowhere did it say just how many boxes had been shipped but I was clearly missing items. Customer service was quick to respond and ship me a new box. But then, the feet were missing from the second box. Again, customer service quickly responded and shipped them out; however, these feet included very nice metal braces which apparantely were missing from first box. Also, the bolts did not fit with the nuts provided, so I had to buy new hardware to put it all together and the location of the bolts and nuts was difficult to operate in--tiny spaces. I'm glad the hassle is over and hope I can finally enjoy some time on my porch.

We received 4 boxes and started with the first box. The first two pieces the instructions called for to be put together were bent and would not align. I emailed the company and they did respond in a timely manner to remedy the situation, but I was able to bend the 2 pieces enough to get them together and the rest seemed fine. The company did give us a small discount for the extra hassle we went through getting the furniture together. They also had to replace a cushion that had a small tear in which they did. The furniture looks exactly like the pictures when put together. It is a dark brown resin wicker and seems sturdy once assembled. The cushions are water resistant and seem comfortable for the few times we have used them so far. It comes with furniture clips so you can arrange the pieces however you like. I included a picture below of how we used them in the area we got the sofa for. We turned it into two mini sofas and a chair. The seat cushions have velcro which attaches to the straps on the seats of the sofa, but curiously they did not do this with the back cushions, which do end up falling when people get up or there is a little bit of wind. The back cushions are taller than the back of the sofa by design, but I still think they could have done the same thing as they did on the seat cushions. We are going to try velcro tape with the back cushions and see how that works. The furniture is not very heavy so I am interested in seeing how it does when we get our first wind storm. I am 5'11" and can sit comfortably on the furniture, but for people 6'1" and taller I can see it being a little low to the ground. It is slightly lower to the ground than a normal dining room chair. So far it is pretty much what we expected and we will see how it holds up the next few years. My wife and I like the furniture and would have given it 4 & 1/2 stars if we could, but just could not give it 5 with the few things we noted on the design. The customer service was good and responsive so if there is an issue I'm sure they will take care of it.

Where to start? We received 3 large boxes less than a week from ordering. The patio set looks nice, and is fairly comfortable at this price point. Now for the not so good. I spent 2 afternoons putting the pieces together. Hundreds of pieces. The chairs come in separate pieces that have to be bolted together. There were bags of different length bolts with washers and nuts. What was wrong? Velcro to hold the cushion was missing from one of the chair seats. The table should have 4 suction cups to hold the glass top in place. There were only 2 suction cups present. Can't figure out how to get the plastic furniture connecting clips attached. they will only open about ½", but need to fit over about a 2” space. Afraid to break them. One panel of the table could not be connected because the holes in the panel were displaced ½” from the embedded nuts in the adjoining section. The instructions are horrible and the pieces are not labeled! Customer service? Not so good to date. The provided phone number goes directly to voicemail that says the mailbox is full and to try again later. Can’t find a website for the company Suncrown. I have sent them emails over the past 3 days. No response. I sent them a message through Amazon and got the following response: “We checked the surplus inventory, all the replacement parts are out of stock, sorry. Also, we can not tell the exact time when it will be available again due to we are having the busy season now.” That was part of the message along with an offer to return the furniture, which is impossible since all but the table are assembled, and 2 of the 3 huge boxes were broken in shipping. I gave one star for the time being and will gladly update if they help to resolve our issues. If worse comes to worse, I will buy velcro and appropriate furniture clips, and install them. That would leave the problem of the table not fitting together. That may not be fixable. As for the company name “Suncrown”, it appears it might really be a company called Excel Direct. Not sure. Anyone have any information on Suncrown or Excel Direct? Update July 2021 Company representative (still don't know the real company name or where they are located) gave a partial refund to make up for the table being defective. Would have preferred they send a replacement table, but apparently that would be difficult for them. I upped the stars from one to three because of Charmaine's help.
