My husband loves this aftershave. He is a it snobby about this one item in his toiletry and typically uses one from The Art of Shaving. I thought he might enjoy this lighter gel aftershave for summer and he very much has. This has a fresh clean "blue" scent to it that we both enjoy. It is not a strong scent, nor does it linger. This doesn't burn his skin at all and it gives a bit of hydration and toning and makes his skin look better than when he doesn't follow up with an aftershave. I am pleased with it and I think he is too.

This is a nice blend and is made of almost all natural product. This blackcurrant bud extract is new to me and it's supposed to contain anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties. The result is soothing irritated skin, which is a must when you have upset follicles. It does the job that other after shaves do, but ups the experience with these high end ingredients. Bison grass and gymnema extract? -- this must be fancy. I definitely consider this a high end product. For the value of the brand, and considering that a lot of unique and natural products are sourced, I think the value is pretty good.

In order to have a good aftershave it has to meet 3 important features: 1: It has to provide moisturizing and go on easily. 2: it has to provide comfort to when you know after shaving. 3: It needs to smell right. I mean it can't smell too strong or funky, but just right. Clarinsmen aftershave met all 3 standards so I cannot deduct any stars. It works like is should and that is all I can really say when it comes to aftershave.

My husband has to shave his face for work every day and enjoys trying out different mens products from time to time. He tried this one out and said it felt great! It left his skin feeling fresh, clean, and smooth after shaving and he really loved the scent. However, I could smell this product from the hallway and made him wash it off before going to bed (he shaves in the evening since he leaves for work early in the morning). The scent was SO strong. It smelled good but it was way too intense and started to give me a headache even after a few minutes. Mind you, I'm not someone who gets overwhelmed by scents on a normal basis... He's used it a few times since then but in much smaller quantities and will still water it down a bit just for the smell.
