Thus far, I haven't had any issues with the actual product itself (no bulbs DOA). Overall the product looks very solid, which is why I'm keeping the rating at 4 stars. That being said, the Incandescent Watts Equivalence Rating of "90W" is misleading. The product itself put out 850 Lumens, which is much closer to a typical 60W incandescent bulb. The box itself further indicates this, stating they are a "60W equivalent bulb". If like me, you were looking for something 90W-100W, I would recommend stepping up to their "120W equivalent" bulbs. ... show more

I liked that it said it was 65 watts, but was as bright as a 100 watt. My kitchen is very dark on an inside wall and I was very pleased at how the recessed lighting bulbs lit the kitchen up. The reason for the 4 stars is that out of the 6 bulbs, one would not work, so into the trash it went. That raised the price in the bulbs that did work ... show more

    • Had BR40 before, these are okay....

The bulbs being replaced were apparently BR40s....I picked these up....They work okay, I was very surprised by how tiny the BR30 bulbs are....I'll use them because I hate doing returns and/or exchanges....But I'd hardly call these flood lights....they are the size, depth, width and brightness of regular light bulbs.....I knew they weren't going to be 5 inches but they go way up into the cans.... Short and small round like a regular light bulb.....These are like mini bulbs....like if they were Christmas tree bulbs it would be like going from those full size Christmas tree light bulbs you screw in, to those skinny plastic bulbs that are just built into the chord....I didn't think going BR30 was such a drastic drop in size from BR40....next time I'll go with BR40....maybe I'll repurpose these for something else eventually and put BR40s in instead....the BR30 bulbs are tiny.... EDIT- For those like me who didn't know these would be so low profile and small, not much bigger than a standard light bulb and only slightly wider at the widest part....than a standard bulb....As I mentioned above about my thinking of getting some BR40s and repurposing these, I was very surprised at the massive size difference...Well I replaced the bulbs in my bathroom fixture, lights up the bathroom a lot better than the other bulbs, these do a much better job there than in the can lights in my kitchen where they are so small they are way less in terms of width vs the can lights and they also are way up inside the cans so they don't light up as much as they should, considering there are actually only 5 bulbs for the entire kitchen....BR40s are definitely a must, I thought they would be as long as the BR40s and maybe an inch less wide....They seem several inches less wide at the widest part and they are so far recessed into the can light fixtures the light doesn't brighten things up at all, but they do a good job in the bathroom....Just don't stare at them or you get the effect like if you just stared into the Sun 😁 ... show more
