    • Energy efficient bulbs have come a long way

A little over a decade ago I replaced the incandescent bulbs in my basement with compact fluorescent bulbs. These were more energy efficint but slow to get bright and they gave off an irritating light. As these finally began to die I just picked up these led flood lights to replace them and the difference is night and day. They are bright instantly, they adequately light up my work area, and the light is natural. I haven't had them long enough to comment on their durability but so far they are great. ... show more

We have a lot of recessed lighting fixtures in our house. The previous owners left us dozens of incandescent BR30 bulbs, but after seven years, we finally used them all up. We’re switching to these LED bulbs as incandescents burn out. They’re bright, inexpensive, but smaller than incandescent BR30s. Mixed in with incandescents, you don’t have a uniform look. Eventually, we’ll have all LEDs, but even then, the LED bulbs are shorter, so they’re more recessed than the incandescents. ... show more

The only problem I've had with this product, they the LED bubs have limited lifespan. The bunch I bought lasted 4 months around 2800-5200 hours on all the time.
