  • Great Shed!
I purchased this 8' x 7' Suncast Storage Shed from Amazon for $710 with free shipping. I had a contractor pour a 8' x 7' concrete pad for $680. The shed arrived in about 2 weeks to my front door. The evening before I assembled it, I inventoried the package for all the parts and hardware....all there plus some....took about 30 minutes. I then conducted the preassembly.....windows, skylights, door handles, hinges, headers, roof and truss support, etc.....took me about 2 hours in my garage including watching a ball game. The next morning, I started with anchoring the 2 floor panels to the concrete slap...took about 30 minutes. I then assembled the 7 panels just like a Lego set.....took about 45 minutes....a mallet and 1' board came in handy. Assembling the headers and truss took about 30 minutes. It took another hour to assemble the 4 roof panels and secure the roof. Attaching the two doors took another 30 minutes. I spent another 30 minutes tighting things up and the rest of the day putting up shelfs, organizing my stuff and admiring my work. Though the manual says it takes 2 people to assemble, I had no problem doing it myself.....never did think I needed a second pair of hands. Total time required included piddling, distractions and a ball game was about 6 hours. On a scale of 1 to 10 of difficulty to assemble....10 being the most difficult, I would give it a 3. The instructions and illustrations were great. Note to Suncast....your name plate on the front header was screwed in upside down and the prepunched holes for the slide roof ridge beam brackets didn't come close to lining up.....not even in the ballpark. Excellent product and would buy another Suncast product. Update...I failed to mention I assembled this shed two weeks prior to Hurricane Matthew coming through NC. I thought for sure I would wake up to find the shed gone or severely damaged. To my surprise...not a scratch and no leaks inside the shed. Several storms later and still no leaks. ... show more

  • Very satisfied. One safety issue.
We’re active senior citizens with lifetime of diy construction experience of all kinds. Assembly with 2 people works better at most stages. Manufacturer instructions for securing roof with your weight by climbing on top of roof not a good thing. Unsafe given the height of roof peak. Yikes! We stayed on the ground and anchored heavy roping over peak and added our body weight that way instead. Worked well. Using for lawn and garden tool storage-perfectly. Would definitely purchase again. ... show more

  • Good shed for storage
I built this on concrete under my deck for extra storage. No weather issues, but It's pretty tall & just barely fit under the deck. I assembled the shed myself in about 8 hours -- I had a little help on the roof. I thought the instructions were fine. The only criticism is the door hardware. The locking mechanisms are a little stiff, and the handle looks a bit odd. They handle doesn't turn, and you have one side that angles up and one side angles down. I would have preferred them to match. I also didn't care for the wire mesh that encloses the vent near the ceiling - the design has it screwed in which causes gaps. A little duct tape was required to seal the sides, and I used a fair amount of caulk to seal the joints. A year later, the inside is still bug free. Small things aside, I'm happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Worth the Money
I read at least a hundred reviews while researching for the shed I wanted. Floor, or no floor? Made of what material? How easy was it to assemble? In the end, I concentrated on the assemblage. All of the reviews made the putting together of the shed sound daunting. This shed had the best reviews overall. My 81 year old husband and his 75 year old friend put this together with no problems in about 6 hours. They said the instructions were a little vague at some points but not bad. The shed has a floor which they anchored to cement. The price was a little more than we wanted to spend, but it's a beauty. I see now that it's $200 higher than when we bought it. It's sturdy and good-looking. It's made of steel reinforced double wall resin. The windows and the skylights have rubber gaskets around them so rain, moisture, etc. can't get in. My only complaint is that it didn't come with air conditioning! ... show more

  • Buy a better shed...do not depend on the Warranty
After 3 years, my shed was blown down by 45 mph winds. The 10 Year Warranty is guaranteed to withstand 65 mph winds. I installed and anchored the shed on the very sturdy wooden base provided in the instructions. The Warranty claim process is brutal. We have spoken with multiple individuals that all give us different information, and you wait on hold for over 30 minutes each time. They requested alot of information, which is reasonable; however, they want pictures of the shed with measurements of the doors. My shed was blown down. It is impossible to provide the pictures of the doors with measurements after the shed was demolished. I provided all other information requested. Furthermore, the first claim rep told us we did not have to provide these since it was a total loss. They also told us we could throw the shed away. After doing this, they now demand more pictures and measurements and claim no one would have told us we could get rid of all the broken pieces. Tldr; shed was blown down by winds that the warranty should cover. They will not process the claim without pictures and measurements that are impossible to provide after their product is blown down. Buy a better shed if winds are of any concern. ... show more

  • Love it!
Don’t attempt assembly by yourself! At least 2 ppl. Took us (2 ppl) 4 hours to assemble

  • Easy to assemble
Best shed I’ve ever bought and assembled. Very easy. No extra parts left over. Looks good and has held up very well with no fading over 2 years My ONLY complaint is the lock. It snapped off and so I’m still able to latch it, but I can’t lock it. The metal used is very thin for this one piece and didn’t even make it 6 months. ... show more

  • Very nice product.
My husband built a wood base with wolmanized wood and put the shed together himself but did require ratchet straps to pull the fourth roof panel down and over to line up for the screws. Very good, solid product.
