I don't know how I ever got along without an electric blanket before! My bed is heavenly! The blanket is well made. You cannot feel the wires and the blanket is soft and lightweight. One of my favorite features is the PREHEAT. It's so good! Just set how high you'd like the temperature to be when you climb into bed, then hit Preheat. Voila'! By the time you've brushed your teeth and said your prayers; you're tucking yourself into a deliciously warm bed. NOTE: Alot of people complain that the blankets give out or don't work. I had a problem at the beginning, getting my blanket to heat up because there is a LOW and HIGH feature. They don't heat up the blanket. But, temperatures 2-10 work really well! I will be buying a second blanket because it's just that good and I never, ever want to be without another one--now that I know have fabulous this is. ... show more

Nice looking blankets and very soft. Heat controls are easy to access and you won't get tangled up in cords. Very reliable functions. Actually have three of these in various sizes and colors. FYI: Walnut brown color leans toward a drab olive.

Heavier than previous electric blankets but cozy, so no problem. Gets really warm when turned on, so I keep it low, (but this remedied previous problem of electric blanket never warm enough.) Only problem is that the fabric is super-slippery, so I have to reposition it every night before getting into bed. Looks pretty when not covered. ... show more

    • Broke the second time that I used it

I am not a big fan of electric blankets, but I saw the review that Wirecutter in the NYTimes did and they gave it a great review, and since it was very reasonably priced (the twin size which I got) I ordered it. The first time that I tried it, I put the heat on number 2, which had been the setting on an old electric blanket that I had used in the past. It was so hot, I actually had to turn it off. The next night I used it on number 1 and it seem to be really nice. That was the last time it worked. On the Amazon page for returns, it refers you to the manufacturer. So, I clicked that link and got a message saying that that page was unavailable. Then I just went to Amazon returns and they approved it immediately. I eventually did go the manufacturer's site, and the instructions available were not exactly for this blanket, but I tried the trouble shooting routine, but got nowhere. I don't know if I got a bad one or not, but just thought I would share. ... show more

We recently switched to a king bed and needed a new e-blanket. After a little online searching we got pointed to this Sunbeam blanket. It has been great and keeps us comfortable on chilly winter nights. My side is toasty, and my wife has excellent control on her side to find the right temperature. Preheating before coming to bed work well. One little challenge is the new blanket sheds little fuzzies that stick to the sheets. We purchased this blanket for use in our rv in winter. We are camping in campgrounds with power so I can’t review how much power it uses for solar campers but I can tell you that this blanket made a huge difference! We saved on propane ( heat) since having the blanket. Then we started bringing it back and forth to the house because it takes that chill out of you. My fiancé and I both agreed, this purchase was a game changer! We both have our own control and since he usually get warmer than I do, it’s perfect that we can have that control. Also the cord is detachable so it does make it nice for stoarage. The only thing I wish was different is how the controls and power cord are connected as they easily get tangled up, but not a show stopper. It’s also kind of heavy but it’s super big and soft.
