I bought this to use on my boat and to keep in the back of my van to charge my phone. I keep this between my seats to charge my phone and run my fan when I'm sitting in my car at work, as I can sit for easily 10+ hours and don't want to keep my van running. It's easy to use, has a power switch and accurate voltometer, it has 2 USB-A ports and a 12v outlet for accessories, the light on the side is pretty bright and does provide a good amount of light at about 3-4 feet, it's perfect for airing up tires on the side of the road, the black plastic is a bit flimsy but has held up really well to sliding around into my jack, jack stands and tool box, no cracks at all. You can even charge your battery through the bolts on the top. The rubber coating isn't that good, but that doesn't matter to me. Overall, a solid product and would buy again if I ever needed to.

I gave this a 4 star, waiting to see how it holds up outside through the winter. I like the way you connect the battery terminals and can add other items outside the box. I believe this makes it safer and easier. Also you can quickly check the voltage by the press of a button. Before you do damage to your travel trailer or boat, it’s important to know you have full voltage. Overall a good upgrade from the cheap black plastic box.

I got this to put a big LifePo4 battery in, and honestly, it’s exactly what I was wanting. I’m basically building my own “solar generator” and this thing makes it so easy. The external terminals are perfect, the carry handle makes moving it around no big deal, and the on/off switch is super handy. The built-in voltmeter is nice to keep an eye on battery levels, and the overload protection gives me peace of mind that I’m not gonna fry anything. I also didn’t realize how much I’d appreciate the built-in light until I used it in the garage at night—super convienent. If you’re looking to put together a portable power setup for an RV, boat, trolling motor, or even solar, this box is worth it. Solid build, well thought-out features, and just works.

This little box did exactly what I needed. I had purchased two 32Ah 12V LiFePO4 batteries for use in a mobile power system. This box fit both batteries in perfectly. I wired the batteries in parallel for 64Ah at 12V or 768Wh total battery storage. Hooked up the red and back provided connections under the lid, then I added a bit of foam packing between the batteries to keep them stable in the box before putting the cover on and strapping it shut. It is NOT waterproof. In fact, this version doesn't come with filters or covers for the two side vents. That's in the Pro version. My plan was to test this with my 50lb thrust trolling motor to see how long it would last, but I haven't had a chance to try that yet. I also have a 1000W inverter I'm going to test with it. I took the system camping with me after charging the batteries with my NOCO Genius 1 charger that I connected to the + and - terminals on this case. (Thank goodness the batteries weren't empty.) That version charger would take 45 hours to fully charge when the batteries were at 50% charge. As it was it took about 12 hours to bring them back to full charge from the level they were at. I would recommend a Genius 5 or bigger for this kind of storage capacity if you don't want to wait days to charge after you drain it. The switches worked well for on/off control, and the onboard LED was nice and bright. I used the cigarette lighter port on the case and plugged in my car USB fast charger to charge my phones. I had no problem charging both of them up multiple times over 8 days. My laptop was also charged up several times from this system. I never tried the onboard USB ports as they weren't the fast charging type. The volt meter was Ok but because I used LiFePO4 batteries it never went below 13.2v which is expected until you hit about 35% remaining charge. For this test I never needed to recharge the main batteries while I was camping and the box kept everything safe inside. Pros: Easy to assemble Nice set of features Bright LED Cons: Not waterproof or even splashproof Standard USB A ports for charging My only recommendation would be to check out the Pro version of this to see if you need the extra features.

I purchased version 2 of this model for $20 more (with an online Amazon coupon making it basically $10 more than version 1). STRAP IS TOO SHORT BY AT LEAST 2 INCHES.... (luckily I have extra ones). Other than that the box is solid. Side rope handles are strong. The volt meter definitely helps knowing how charged the battery is. I have a size 24 battery and it moves around. On the bright side, there's room for the 60A circuit breaker I added for my trolling motor. I used the foam packing that came with battery during shipping to keep battery snug inside this battery box. Five stars if not for the added expense of cutting a perfectly good strap to use on this box.
