Product Care Instructions: Gently remove the face fabric from the velcro attachment on the front of the headrail as well as from the plastic anchors. Place fabric on a clean, flat surface. Spot clean using a soft nonabrasive damp cloth. Rinse out cloth thoroughly as needed while cleaning. Completely air dry before reattaching shade to the plastic anchors and securing shade at top with the velcro strip.

I ordered this shade for my daughter's nursery because we recently started transitioning her to the crib. The sun shines directly into her room in the mornings though, so we needed something better than normal shades to block the light. We decided to go with a shade instead of curtain, because it's a single window and thought it would have a clearer, more discrete look than a curtain. Overall, there are a LOT of options when it comes to purchasing shades and I'm glad I didn't spend additional money on a more expensive, custom one! Overall review: Easy to assemble shade, which provides significant light blockage. Very visually appealing and easy to use. Honestly, I have no negative feedback on this product, other than I wish they had MORE color options! - True to color. I ordered the color Taupe and it's a good blend between beige and grey. Leans more towards beige than grey, but that's what I wanted. - Quality material. Pretty, subtle texture that doesn't look busy. - Some roman shades have a thicker material, which looks bulky when pulled all the way up. This shade doesn't look bulky while still being thick enough to provide the blackout effect. I think the light filter comes from the liner on the inside. - Assembly was very easy! We had to remove the original shades on the window to install it, but it still completely blocks the light. - Multiple size options available, which fit perfectly into standard window sizes. - BONUS: The actual material simply velcros onto the hardware. Ordered a pair of these for our master bedroom. One of them had the internal spring break after 5 months and very little use. Now to roll them up, you have to take them off the holder and hand roll them back up. They do not hug close to the window so a fair amount of light seeps in from the sides. Quality is ok from the inside but from the outside, you can see clips and it doesn't look good. We used them in a room that faces the backyard so it's not a big issue, but I would not put these where other people can view them. ... show more

We installed this blind on an antique kitchen door that had a large glass plate in it, less for darkening and more for privacy. It has good weight, and installation (outside installation for us) was easy. Would recommend that if you are measuring for darkening, make sure to allow enough coverage on the sides. I could have used another inch of blind width ideally. But it does cover the glass window, and we do have the privacy we need. Note to manufacturer--the plastic piece that is supposed to slide on the bottom to pull/up down, is IMPOSSIBLE to slide on--super tight and will not go over the fabric blind. I had to buy one at Home Depot, and that worked out fine. The blind does go up and down very nicely with just one pull. Overall, a good blind for the money. ... show more

Beautiful, high quality. Love the slow roll up. We have another brand in our stairway and, while it's nice, this is much nicer. Took my husband longer to take down our blinds than it did to install this. We opted not to use the clip as it'll mostly stay closed. We ordered 2 more for one of our daughter's large windows - can't wait! This photo is in the brightest part of the day. Once his curtains are closed over, it's pitch black! ... show more

I have been searching for affordable window treatment options for our crankout, odd size windows and these seem to fit the bill. I took a gamble and ordered from the pre set measurements, knowing I could return them since they weren’t customized. These cordless, blackout Roman shades in blue, are great! They arrived quickly and were relatively easy to install. They’re easy to raise and lower and the blackout lining does a perfect job of blocking out light, providing a perfect environment for sound sleep. Time will tell if they hold up well but I’m hopeful due to the good quality. I’ll update if anything changes but for now, 100% recommend. ... show more

    • Check the depth of your window

The description does not tell you that you need a window depth of at least 2". I have a 1.5" depth so I will need to return the two I ordered. The only work around would be to drill holes in the metal hardware and I am not prepared to go that far and possibly mess it up and then not be able to return it. Other than this, the shades seem very nice. Too bad they couldn't put the depth in the description. Update. I am going to give them back a star because I managed to make it work with 1.5" depth using the hardward in a way it wasn't meant to be used. They do stick out from the window too much, but at least they are up and they are nice shades. The fabric is nice and the retraction works well. ... show more
