  • Sturdy, lightweight
Totally satisfied, it does the job which it’s the most important. Lightweight, you can handle with one hand, very easy to store. I own another tools from the same brand, never had a problem. Totally recommend!

  • Review for the girls out there
I am a woman with a small suburban yard with a very small shed. I needed a mower that was small enough to fit on a shelf in my shed, light enough for me to lift, easy to adjust, but powerful and sturdy enough to handle a bumpy yard with lots of twigs and leaves. I've now had the mower for one season. Today, I put the little mower to it's final test - picking up/mulching the leaves using the mulching bag. Given it usually takes over an hour to manually rake up the leaves, and today the whole process using the mower took about 20 minutes, I am very pleased. Pros: With the convenient handle, small size and light weight, I can easily carry the mower in and out of the shed (as well as get it on and off the shelf). The darn power cord weighs more than the Sun Joe. It's easy to set up (literally seconds). The cut height is simple to adjust. Cuts evenly. Given it's all plastic, it's also quite sturdy. Much quieter than a gas mower and no gas fumes. Cons: Because of it's small size, the mulching bag fills up very quickly. However, the bag is so simple to get on and off, that I don't mind. The mower's mulching abilities are not great. Since, I am using the bag to pick up the leaves and dump them into bags, it is not a big issue. But, if you're looking to use it to really grind up the leaves into fine pieces, you'll be disappointed. It's inconsistent. I also wish the knobs were a bright color instead of the same color as the grass. I failed to tighten one of the knobs enough, and it came off while I was mowing. Unfortuantely, I didn't realize it until I had finished and was loosening the knobs for storage. Months later, I still haven't found it. ... show more

  • I’m shocked
This is our first electric mower. Since we moved to a property with less yard to maintain, we figured an electric mower would be the best option. We contemplated plug-in versus battery. We just couldn’t justify the extra cost of the battery versions. And now after receiving this mower, we are glad we went this direction. What a great little mower. To be honest, we were skeptical. But we are super impressed. Assembly is tedious and I do question why it didn’t come with a few more parts already put together. But it’s not difficult to get it done. And the instructions are thorough. Took us no more than twenty minutes. The first thing you’ll notice is how light the unit is. It’s so easy to move around. Of course the trade off is the sturdiness of the mower body. It feels a little less than tough. Not wimpy, just not tough. But we don’t plan to beat it up anyway. On first use, our yard was a little overgrown - mainly because of the long wait for the mower to show up. But with our cord plugged in, the mulching plug removed, the bag attached, and the trigger pulled, this mower tackled it like a champ. It had a few areas where it bogged down, but that’s no different than the gas powered versions. The little vent on the bag works great at telling you when the bag is getting full. And the safety feature works great. If using the bag, you’ll notice another issue with the mower being so light. As the bag fills, it gets heavier, and the mower gets rear heavy - in some cases, wanting to lean back. Also the bag fills awfully fast. Even in our second mowing with less overgrowth, it still had to be emptied quite a few times. And the handle on the bag doesn’t seem to want to stay out. It kept falling off when holding the full bag. We haven’t tried the mulching yet, but what we’ve seen so far has been impressive. It has its quirks and issues as I noted, but every mower I’ve had has. The cord is sort of a pain to maneuver around, but with the size of our yard, it’s manageable. I think it’s about getting a routine down so it gets in the way less. There is certainly room for improvement, but this is absolutely a great deal if you have a smaller yard near a power outlet. ... show more

  • wheel broke on first usage
this mower has more plastic than my previously owned electric mower. this is my third electric mower over the past 13 years. i suspect this one will not last as long as the first two did, as we used it for the first time today, and the wheel broke. it is a bit more lightweight, but my previous mower in comparison was 19 inches, and this one is 17 inches cutting width. it was relatively easy to assemble. and, it has all the pros of an electric mower. i think the build is just cheap, and not durable to last, so i can't recommend it. ... show more
