I'm writing this review while sipping on a delicious mocha latte that I just made. Cappuccinos, lattes, and espressos are so simple to make on the Sumsaty machine that it's become an enjoyable part of my morning routine, and actually helps inspire me to jump out of bed at the crack of dawn to get my day started! For several years I was getting by with a cheap espresso machine that essentially did the job, but barely. It wasn't until I started dating my new girlfriend when I noticed how subpar my coffee was tasting compared to her extremely high end machine. I knew it was time for a replacement at my house, but there was no way I was going to spend the kind of money she did on hers, which is a monstrosity that takes up a 1/3 of her counter space and probably has a dozen functions that nobody ever needs or uses. I wanted something of excellent quality at a reasonable price, and after spending a good deal of time reading numerous reviews and specifications, I settled on the Sumsaty and my mornings have been a joy ever since. Aside from the sturdy quality of the machine itself, I love how the functionality remains relatively basic. There are no unnecessary bells and whistles, but rather just a few simple features for making quality coffee beverages. Aesthetically, the chrome unit with black trim looks wonderful in my small townhouse kitchen. And it's so simple to use. The Sumsaty Espresso Machine features a large water container in the back, which lasts all week before needing a refill (my old, cheap machine needed water added with each drink made). All that is needed is to turn the power on and wait until it quickly reaches the proper brewing temperature (already preset), and then a simple push of the button (a choice between a single or double shot) for a cup of espresso. To make a cappuccino or latte, all you need to do is hit the "steam" button and wait a few seconds for it to reach a higher preset temperature, and then you can turn the knob on the side of the unit for the steam valve. Cleanup is a breeze with the stainless steel and plastic parts. As soon as I'm done frothing milk, I fill a small glass with a couple inches of water and steam that for 20 seconds to clear out the spout of any milk. Then I wipe it down and it's ready for the next round. I've really been enjoying experimenting and trying to perfect my coffee drinks each morning. There's no need to spend an incredible amount of money on a high end machine when you can achieve amazing espresso creations with the comparatively affordable Sumsaty. ... show more

I bought this espresso machine in May of 2024. I LOVED it!! So easy to use and makes a great mocha latte…until this morning. When I turned it on, I got the dreaded “Error3” and the machine wouldn’t respond to any commands. In order to turn it off, I had to unplug it. The search began for help and on their website there’s a “customer support” button but when you click on it, it goes nowhere. I finally found an email to contact them, but I’m not hopeful. I will follow up with my review if I get any results back from my request for help. OK, I have followed all the correct procedures and contacted Amazon and they in turn “contacted the seller”, and still NOTHING. When I emailed the seller, they asked me for the order number even though the number was right on the email I sent them and a “video of the problem”. I did as they asked and I have not heard from them and I have not heard from Amazon. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY THIS ESPRESSO MACHINE!!!!! I am now out $185. That I really can afford. 1st follow up. I received a message yesterday through Amazon that the company will give me a full refund. Now I will wait to see what happens. If in fact I do get a full refund, I will put the money towards another espresso machine that I will research every which way from Sunday! So far all of them that I’ve looked at that are affordable have problems with “longevity”! Update as of 12/16/2024. After Amazon put me in contact with the company, and 3 or 4 back and forth emails, the company has issued a full refund. Evidently, they don’t want the machine back as they didn’t issue a return label or ask that I return it. My artistic side wants to make something out of it, maybe a vase…..or, because of the original price, a “vaaaazzz”.😇😆😆😆. Long story short, the company stepped up and stood behind their product and for that, I added a star. If you want a fabulous and inexpensive espresso machine that only lasts for 6 months to a year, this is the one for you. ... show more

This is literally like my fourth espresso machine. The cheaper ones just don't last long. I seem to have to buy one every two years. So far it's my favorite. I would call this the perfect intermediate espresso machine. There are just a lot of really nice quality of life design choices. The water tank is large and convenient. The milk frother has a removable piece that makes it so much easier to clean. The espresso component has a locking mechanism so when you're dumping out your old grinds you don't have to chase the puck thing around. It works really nicely. My only complaint is you do have to watch the milk as it doesn't stop automatically, but it also has a timer so you can get it at the exact same temperature every time. And I will say the machine is weirdly short. Not all of my cups fit. But It's really simple to use and has those minor quality of life adjustments make it significantly better than comparable models. Especially the timer. That's really nice. Not to mention it does make fabulous espresso. Like I said I've bought many espresso machines and so far and this is my favorite, especially for the price. We'll see how it holds up over time. Update: 9 months of daily use and still holding up quite well. Also added a pic to show the crema. Final Update: lastest about two years being used daily. Usually multiple times a day. Made great lattes but finally gave out this week. Final Verdict: Great Machine but get the warranty and remember to register it. Keeping my review at five stars because that seems to be the general lifespan of machines in this price range under my heavy usage so it's comparable to similar models. This one is still my favorite though. Someone actually bought me a replacement and I honestly just miss this one. I want to start this off by saying that I’ve been working as a barista for the past few years so I definitely have a higher expectation when it comes to coffee machines and I didn’t get my hopes up with this machine because it had decent reviews and all the really nice ones are way out of my budget right now so I wanted something cheap. I have to give this a 4/5 for a couple reasons (I would even consider like a 3.5 out of five), firstly the shots it makes are half creama and half espresso shot (for those who don’t know creama is a thin layer of foam that is on top of the shot when it’s poured, espresso shots are usually 75% shot, 25% crema or even 80/20.) Also i’ve found that if you don’t stir the shots right after putting them in your mug (also it’s too small to fit most mugs so i use shot glasses) the crema all like clumps together and gets kind of thick and it’s just slightly annoying, that part is preventable though. secondly ive found that when the shots are done pouring and i take the filter holder off of the machine to pour out the grounds it’s really watery and is hard to get out (usually the grounds make a little cake and you tap it on the trash can and all the grounds fall out as one clump) but with this machine the water doesn’t all filter out so it’s super watery and not compact, this might be because of the plastic coffee spoon they send with it which you use the end of to press down your coffee into the filter holder, they are usually metal but i haven’t gotten a metal one yet so it might just be that the plastic one doesn’t get the grounds to be compact enough. Lastly the milk steamer is very weak (compared to a professional machine) and takes a long time to get your milk actually hot (i drink mostly iced lattes so this isn’t as big of an issue but it’s just something I noticed). Obviously I knew when i bought this that I wasn’t buying a professional coffee shop level machine and I wasn’t expecting more than what I received. I will say it’s a very good beginner coffee machine if you’re barista-ing only at home and want to save your money this is a decent option. The coffee it makes is okay, not the best cup i’ve ever had but it’s pretty far from the worst. All in all i would recommend this product to people who are just starting to barista at home, if you’re a more seasoned barista like I am go for the more expensive product, it will be well worth your savings and should last longer. ... show more

This beautiful cappuccino maker, it has a large water container 1.8L and sleek finish with a nice LCD display that shows time and temperature, the extra special late feature, coffee sizes are great as well looks great on my counter. Very first try = perfect cappuccino! The froth was amazing! I used Blue bottle espresso whole bean roast and brewed a shot. Since it was my first time using this machine, I let it go at one shot and didn't use quite all the milk. (I have been told I like a "dry" cappuccino.) It was great! Next time I will brew two shots and use all the milk. The filter holder accommodates the included filter baskets for single espresso, double espresso. There is a slight learning curve in making sure you know how to turn things on. I would suggest testing both of the coffee servings to see which one will fit you better. When using the wand on the side, there will almost always be water that seems to come out. If you're prepared for that, it's not that big of an issue. I usually keep a tall in my coffee area. I just placed that under there and you're good to go For both brewing and for frothing are different and very easy to switch back-and-forth. Cleaning is a piece of cake. I love having the large water reservoir that feeds in. I don't use the warmer on top, but I do know that it does work. And it seems to work pretty well just based on , me putting things on there and not thinking about it.
