I haven't hung them yet, but the quality seems very good. You just measure the size of your window and cut a smaller piece from the large amount you receive. It comes with extra attachment stickers so you can rehang them somewhere else or simply take them down and reuse.

It becomes complete darkness. I tried other products, but it was too heavy and I returned it. This is not like cloth, but it's light, easy to cut, and easy to handle. it's recommended.

I had one purpose for this, and it came in very handy and accomplished what I wanted. I ride my spin bike in the garage, in front of a television so I can watch movies while I exercise. The light from the garage door windows would glare off the screen and I just wanted to cover these windows. You can't really put heavy curtains on a garage door because the door opener is calibrated to a certain weight. These are lightweight and that was no problem. For the 2-car garage door windows I cut 4 pieces of roughly 18 by 40-something inches and stuck them on. With each pane covered, I saw the drastic change as I was taking steps into the darkness. In the end I got exactly what I wanted from these. The garage is now very dark, and these totally block the light. I just wish there were more of the double sided adhesive velcro squares because I could use them to cover up the small door on the other side of the garage. The outside surface of this thing looks like an industrial gray kind of tarp. So I would not use this on a bedroom window because of how it would loon from the exterior of the house. For a garage, or a window that you don't care about the outside - it's fine. I also wish there was some guide or something that made it easier to cut more straight lines, because I cut mine and it looks a little uneven. All in all, this is useful for what you want. But it is not the prettiest looking thing if you're trying to keep the aesthetics of a home. It's more utilitarian and maybe better for a work area. ... show more

I got this as a window treatment to stop the bright morning sun from illuminating my room since I'm on a night shift for work. It blocks out most light, and the peel-and-stick velcro seems to be fine on the windowsill. I had a mishap with measurements, so I had to move the velcro around a bit, but any residue left behind was easily cleaned up with some rubbing alcohol. The fabric seems to block out about 80 to 95 percent of the light, which helps a ton on those blindingly bright days. I have no complaints. ... show more

Imagine a bed sheet made out of plasticky material that's black and reflective on one side. That's what this is. It works well enough. We do like that you can cut it to fit your need. We like the included velcro pieces so you can make it easily removable. What we don't love is that it looks like a cheap, plasticky sheet of material. Forget using this somewhere like the living room unless you're putting it behind other curtains. Also, as a "portable" blackout curtain, I just don't see how that would work since it uses velcro to attach. If you can finagle something on the road, then yeah, it'll work, but it's not really ideal as it comes out of the package. For what it is, we like it. But it's certainly not what we were expecting. It does work pretty well for it's intended use, though, so we give it 4 stars. ... show more
