I'm on a couple of Facebook group pages where everyone is monogramming the straw bags from Target and the straw hats from the dollar stores. I tried a straw hat using craft foam and became concerned that continued use of that product might crumble into my machine, so I bought this to use for its intended purpose. It pulls away nicely from the monogram, even the little spaces. It was recommended that you use a 3D font or put this foam after you have stitched your underlayment stitches. My software doesn't easily skip the underlayment stitches or make it easy for me to stop when they are complete (and if you have a 3 letter monogram, that's stopping it 3 times and moving the foam around). I'll save my pennies for a 3D font because they are quite expensive, and see how the foam improves those monograms. ... show more

This foam is easy to work with. The adhesion score is confusing since it has no adhesive on the foam. You can easily use this foam by setting your starting point in the middle of taping the foam down if it's a small piece

I love Sulky 3D puffy foam and only use this brand however I'm giving it 3 stars because the pieces are not all even and when using for embroidery every piece counts. Some are half an inch short which causes me ro have to use another piece in the pack. This is unfortunate because I measure my stitch out to 6x9 but I'm only given 5.35x8.75 on some sheets and even less on other sheets ... show more
