Love that it's completely covered so it protects from scratching your door jam where you place it. Love that you can attach it in either direction parallel to the car or perpendicular to make getting in and out easier. My mom's physical therapist showed us how to optimally use it for having my mom get in and out of the car as I hadn't thought to try it perpendicular to the car. Helps a lot and my mom was impressed that such a gadget exists. Many out there to select from but this is the only one I found that covers the entire piece so it's all in one piece. Buy it, love it!

The best thing about it is that the metal part (tang) that inserts into the lock hoop on the door is shorter than many of these and cannot scratch the paint below the hoop. That part on many of these handles is much longer and can come in contact with the paint on my car. There is a single indentation in the metal tang that helps position the handle in the appropriate position for use. Some have multiple indentations and the handle can flop around. I much prefer the single indentation. My wife says that the handle is a little shorter than some but still adequate. This one does not have a seat belt cutter and the handle cushioning is minimal if that matters to you.

I have watched videos on other brands of these that are made from metal and they move around making you feel unsafe. This one is not like that and stays in place. Very easy to use and store and makes getting out of the car so much easier! I highly recommend this product!
